Daniel Ayala has finalised his move to Norwich City, subject to the relevant paperwork being completed. The defender leaves Liverpool after four years at Anfield, during which time he made five first-team appearances. Source: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/ayala-seals-norwich-move Good luck at Norwich Daniel. It's a shame it didn't work out for you at Liverpool but i'm sure you'll do well at Norwich City. Thoughts?
Good signing for us. Young and mouldable. We take these players and make them REALLY good. We've bought players like R.Martin, Fox, Crofts even Whitbread and unlocked their potential. I'd expect the same from this guy.
Excellent news, really pleased we have got him I am sure PL will make more use of him than LFC ever did
The guy is an excellent prospect. Just a shame it didn't work out at Liverpool. Norwich have landed an excellent singing in my opinion.
I don't know much about Norwich so i've got some questions... What is your defence like? And would Ayala get into your defence as a starter or would he be cover? He did very well in the Championship last season and I can see him doing well for you.
Our defence is untested at this level, but I believe it will cope okay. We need strong cover as our defender Whitbread can sometimes get injured. He'll have to work his way into the team, thats our managers way.
Ayala was an incredible prospect, shame to see him go. I was certain he could be used as cover this year, he's very young after all. Good luck at Norwich.
Lets be honest- we got promoted because of a very potent attack- last year our defence was at best average by Championship standards. THe main problem was IMO a lack of mobility from our CBs. We have strengthened our defence as a whole (RB Naughton from Spurs), and got some pace into that CB position (CB De Laet from Man Utd). Ayala wont get a starting place in our first few games, but I hear he is quite pacy so I think he stands a good chance of working his way into the team during the season!
He is pacy and can handle himself for a young lad. You have got yourself a great defender - he just needs to be given a good run of games, a luxury we were unfortunately unable to give him.
Very pleased with signing Surely Whitbread will go down the pecking order by 1 or 2 now as Barnett is coming back to full fitness and getting Ayala
Like many said he was a promising prospect and a shame it didn't work out for him at Anfield. Good luck to him and hope he does well for you guys
What? Buy one get one free? Yes please, Danni is such a lovely lad! Smashing attitude! Wherever he plays his football, I will always be keeping an eye on him Thanks for your help. Danni.
Spain U21 player for under £1mil after they just won the tournament? seems like we got ourselves a brilliant deal..
I'm sure he's going to do well. He looked solid on his debut for us against Stoke I believe which isn't exactly easy. I'm suprised he hasn't progressed any further from there though. Hope he helps you guys stay up.
