After watching last nights game DQPR V Derby !!

I was impressed as i always have been with Ayala's positional sense when the opposition are attacking.

Thought he had a good game, deserved to be booked for the two footed follow through, but no more than that. I know the DQPR fans where calling for him to be sent off.

Does anyone near the club know if we are still tracking Ayala for a possible bid come the end of the season?

Will this also depend on whether we get Gerard or would we need him of we got Ayala? I personally rate him higher than Gerard, for his all round play & passing ability.

    Any thoughts !!

I think Ayala might be the reason Pearson is being non committal on the future of Hobbs, I think he might be targeting Gerrard and Ayala.

I thought the yellow he got last night was a bit soft, he took the ball, but he was playing a dangerous game doing it again a few minutes later.

I hope we're tracking Ayala, to get him on a perm would be amazing. However, I think Liverpool still have him very much so in their future plans so we'll likely only will be able to take him back on loan.

i thought he was a tad lucky last night actually, the diving in on a couple of occasions was a tad reckless. not saying he deserved to be sent off but he could've raised the question.

i rate him very very highly and believe NP does, too. I think he'll definitely be looking into it for next season.

Do you think Liverpool will loan him out again next season? After playing in every game possible with us and Derby, surely he has had enough 1st team experience and is ready for the step up (in their eyes)?

Next season there's still Skrtel, Agger, Carragher, Kelly and Kyriakos who will be picked ahead of him. Therefore Liverpool will probably send him out on loan again.

if there's any chance of getting him permanently then i'm sure NP would prefer that but if not, a loan for the season would suffice

As I've said before guys, I really can't see him joining an English 2nd Division team permanently. :(

In fact, if I were Kenny I'd be loaning him to a lower-Premier league side, or a La Liga or Serie A club.

I agree with most i think a back four of Rosie Ayala Gerard & Dawson or A.N.other would be perfect for next season no matter which division we are in.

I get the feeling from whats been said that Ayala would like to come back on loan if not on a permanent deal as he had a very good relationship with NP.

Do we know if there are any left backs in the frame as cover if not ahead of Dawson for next season??

I like Dawson a lot but he is getting on a bit, a young left full back that belts forward like Rosie would be ideal !!

Looking forward to the weekend nice having two home games one after the other. Makes for an interesting weekend too with the DQPR game the following monday. With last night in mind against Derby i dont think we have that much to fear from DQPR myself. Take Tarabt out of the game early & they have very little to offer.

Frustration at not playing with Paul McShane beside him, as he was when with us. ;)

Why would he want to join a English 2nd Division Team even on loan, that would be two divisions lower than Championship.

Not sure how well Gerrard would get on in the Premiership, Chester I think I'd play ahead of him with Ayala if we went up. We also need a new first team left back for next season, whichever division we're in!
