He'll have pro-active treatment on his back.

Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Agger will miss the remaining two matches of the 2012-13 season as he undergoes pro-active treatment to strengthen the condition of his back.

The club's medical team and associated specialists have decided to undertake a series of elective injections to enhance the stability of the defender's back.

Agger has enjoyed his best season since joining the Reds in terms of appearances having made 39 in all competitions - the highest he has totalled in any campaign since joining the club in January 2006.

Undergoing the treatment means he will miss the remaining fixtures against Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

Liverpool believe this pro-active action and planned rehabilitation programme will have long-term benefits for the 28-year-old's career for both club and country.

Think I would prefer maybe a Wisdom or Kelly ( know he is not fit ) in there. But no way it is anyone else but Skrtel. shop window at the very least.

So after the Everton game we've decided to start our summer early. Stevie first and now Agger.

Well if it means we can get everyone ready for a good start next year, oh well. Sooner we get to the end of this season the better.

let wisdom play we cannot lose 7th and cannot get 6th. play the whole puking reserve side.

let carra captain the side from midfield instead of gerrard, ol stevie looks like he's as slow to a ball as carra anyway so no loss there.

stick in mclaughlin, teixteria (who i can't spell for ****e) Coady for his one senior game cos he's crap... morgan for a brief taste and suso for the shop window.... hell lets get some u8s in there too.

Don't agree with that - Everton have two difficult games. Whilst I can see them dropping points, I'm sure we will probably drop points as we're playing teams that we should be beating.

It's not mathematically impossible to get 6th and there is a still chance.

However, I do agree with sticking in a couple of youngsters - Ibe, Texieira and McLaughlin are worthy of starting IMO.

Ibe can definitely play instead of Downing.
Teixiera could replace Gerrard but worry about his physical side.
McLaughlin can replace the out of form Johnson.
