If cash is a problem at the moment, the very least Lampitt could off would be a friendly game! Would be a good time to get some good press, hopefully the circus of the boardroom don't mess it up... http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?newsmode=FULL&nid=81385
I'm sure 'Appy would be happy to take a side along there to give some of our fringe players and youngsters a game Jake. Would be a nice gesture by the club.
We need this kid. He's a real talent and if he continues to develop, we're on to something. It would be intriguing to see Thompson and Futacs up front for Pompey in a couple of years. I just hope we will be successfull in retaining them both that long.
Not a bad idea to have scouts watching teams like Hampton & Richmond, Dulwich Hamlet, etc. There appears to be a lot of raw talent playing for non- league clubs at the moment, in and around the London area. Probably released by some of the local Football League teams, as considered not being quite good enough at the time. Some youngsters do continue to improve - look at Graham Roberts & Dave Leworthy for example, they were released by PFC, went non-league and then were signed by Spurs. Worth a punt, surely ?
Spot on Woopert. Look at the players clubs like Palace and Charlton produce. It's a hotbed for young talent.
Well, it's now official and I think we've had a right result. All it needs now is a little something in the way of compensation even if it's only a pre-season friendly game up at H&R from a club that needs to work very hard on trying to restore some sort of image, not only for itself but also it's long suffering fans that have been constantly embarrassed and tarnished by it's past form with anything like this.
