Yeah hasn't he picked up a hamstring injury on international duty? Tbh I would happily scrap international football altogether it interferes too much with club football. Especially the pathetic nations league, making a pointless friendly try and seem competitive when actually majority / nobody gives a flying f**k.

Hope thats true , I go along with the view that these ever proliferating international games are a pian in the proverbial and are so damaging to real grass roots supporters , who don't give a toss about Gareths shower.

I was impressed with the two young centre backs against Birmingham so it's not a complete disaster if one of them line up with LON against Plymouth. If Ballard has been carrying various knocks, it might be best to let him recover fully rather than risking it again.
Same here, was impressed with their performance after reading on here that they weren't ready after appearing for the u21s
Football's an odd game, one week you're a defender getting his arse pulled out by a 16 year old matchstick boy in a u21 game, the next week you're Beckenbauer reincarnated in your league debut.
i was one who feared the worst but hoped for the best having watched both CB's hardly setting the world alight at U21 level , however they both stepped up really well , and will have benefitted from the unexpected opportunity. The next starting eleven will be interesting, if Ballard is out, but changes will as usual be kept to the minimum, as is TM's way which is not doing too badly tbh.
