Todays centre spread in the Sun: Gylfi Sigudsson. A huge picture of his goal yesterday with a freezerame of it underneath. STOP ADDING TO HIS VALUE!!!! On a side not, few interesting stats from yesterdays games: Ash made the most passes (108). Paul Robinson made the most saves (6). We passed theball the most, in miles (7.70). Graham is 5th in the top English scorers list (10).
Jackash i will make a prediction here. Gylfi will sign for the Swans in July for 5mill with a 20% sell on clause to Hoffenheim thrown in, the lad is happy at swansea and that will go a long way. He is still only 22 and both the swans and hoffenheim will benefit should he leave in the future.
Mabon, is this prediction a "gut feeling" or, hopefully, very very very very very, hopefully, is it based on an element of truth? I have to say that when Siggy was questioned about this on MOTD, he didn't seem at all evasive about coming back. Whilst he didn't say he was, his body language and general demeanour seemed to indicate that it might be more than a possibility.
His body language for me was "I want to stay here". He did say he had a contract but was hoping someone from Swansea will speak to the club. He's obviousley happy here but will £5million be enough? If Arsenal are interested to, they will bid what Hoffenheim want. We need to match that bid and just hope he decides on us.
Yes that was the feeling I got too. He lives in the Meridian Tower where his neighbours are Routledge and Graham. He has a rather stunning girlfriend who goes to the LC gym and they are both very very happy here. He wants to stay and it's up to SCFC to make it happen.
he's been a superb addition for us, survival would have been incredibly hard without him i suspect. There's bound to be a whole lot of interest in him from richer clubs than ours which won't go unnoticed by Hoffenheim, however he seems like a sensible lad and has had enough experience in his young life to hopefully know that he's on to a good thing at Swansea. lets hope that a deal can be struck and he'll be turning out for us next season
What a left footed gem he saved for his first at the Liberty . He also pounded one with no spin on the ball that I don't no how Robinson could follow it little on stop it . A very special player
Graham is 5th in the top English scorers list (10). out of the english strikers. thats about right...
Good afternoon Ivor Purely a prediction, i think the player will have a big say in where he goes, i would say that swansea suit him perfectly, if hoffenheim can get something near to what they shelled out which is £6 million i beleive i think they will be happy to let him go,
Sigurdsson: I want to stay at Swansea The Icelandic midfielder has expressed his interest in staying with the Welsh side, stating that he is enjoying playing with them in the Premier League on loan form Hoffenheim... lets make this happen.....offer them £5 million cash with a bonus of another 1 or 2 million if we stay up next season....get in there first before anyone else...
We won't get him for 5 .... if we don't cough up about 6.5 , we'll be left behind in the bidding . and that's without add ons ... hope it happens but don't see it happening
thats why i said get in and make the deal happen now that siggs has said he wants to stay at the liberty, you dont get if you dont ask....they can only say yes or no..
we have a history of waiting and sometimes that can be a good thing, but on this occasion the early bird catches the worm....
I think money is going to talk with this one, probably be able to match the gunners price wise, but that is only half the story, if they offer him about £45k-£50k a week in wages we are buggered, we won't go so high as it will destroy the harmony we have with other players on half that.
Exactly .. not going to count on him or Caulker returning so if they do , it will be a peasant surprise!
