Damien Duff has confirmed he will leave Craven Cottage at the end of the season. please log in to view this image Link to pic: http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608049575453461537&pid=15.1 The 35-year-old joined Fulham from Newcastle in 2009 and has made 173 appearances for us. His current deal expires in the summer and he is tentatively exploring the option of moving to the United States. "I'll be leaving Fulham," Duff told the Irish Times. "The club haven't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to the club but we don't need to speak."
Still one of my all time favourites. Can't wait until he comes back and plays his club football in Ireland.
Great servant to the Club. Can't believe it was only 2009 that he signed as he seems to have been here way longer than that - Not many of the Europa team left now, infact it only leaves one - surely not ?
Expected, but still a shame. Did anyone else think the tone of his statement was a bit odd - the 'I haven't spoken to the club and the club hasn't spoken to me' bit. I hope there's no ill feeling in his departure. As others have said, one of the best. He scored the first Fulham goal my eldest saw live, and for that alone he'll be fondly remembered in our house. For lots of other things too.
He was great for us, always working hard and always a professional. I hope he goes to the Portland Timbers. If he goes to LA, he can play with Robbie Keane. If he goes to Seattle, he can play with Dempsey.
Damian Duff gave everything when on the pitch. Goals against Newcastle were a bit special. Good luck to him!
