I have just heard from numerous people (including my window cleaner mate, and as we know he has been 100% correct in recent predictions) that Roberto Martinez will be the Liverpool manager come next season, if not before.

RHC has just been told the same by a very reliable source.

Very interesting to say the least. Personally I think Martinez is a fantastic manager. FSG have come out and stated they admire Martinez - it all adds up in my opinion.

    Thoughts?

Bullshit or not? - I personally believe it to be true.

    Havent a clue.

I've been very critical of Kenny. But part of me wants to see him have another go next year.

Martinez? Big risk if you ask me.

I don't want Kenny to step down - but for me Martinez would be the ideal replacement.

No mate. My source knew about the Enrique deal weeks before any media got hold of it. Plus RHC on the phone just now mentioned some inside info from an extremely respectable source within the club.

Might be bullshit - but for me it all adds up.

Time for FSG to stop and think this through(if theres any truth in it.

Martinez is another Moyes in the making, working wonders on a shoestring budget.

but then again maybe thats what the owners want.

Martinez is ****. He's had a decent spell but why are people forgetting the first half of the season where he managed to make his team go on a 8 match losing run. This would be like sacking Arsene Wenger and appointing Tony Pulis.

Im really not sure if theres any truth in this or not, I suspect there isnt

Think Martinez would be an improvement on Kenny , both tactically and with his knowlegde of the Spanish market the best footballers in the world

I wouldnt want Kenny as DoF either though, dont think hes right for that, wouldnt mind Martinez and Beguristain with Kenny as some other role at the club

Don't want Kenny to step down, would rather he passed the reigns over at the end of his contract. But I suppose if he felt the move was right I can accept that.

On Martinez...I like him as a guy, he covers himself with dignity in his interviews and is a very respectable bloke. With the team he has he plays some very decent football. Obviously as mentioned, Wigan have had a poor run earlier in the season but he has done well at times and before at Swansea.

It is also unknown territory, with the expectation and money available at Liverpool we don't know what he is capable of. If they are judging him on what he has done at the business end of this season then why not consider what B Rodgers has done throughout the season at Swansea? Even with him, I would like to see what he produces next season.

Kenny does need to be replaced, but Martinez? Surely not, that would be a shambolic decision.

Martinez?? have we really stooped so low that we are being linked with a manager like Martinez? It'd be like Hodgson again, a manager right for a smaller club, wrong for a club with huge expectations.

Not belittling Martinez, he gets alot of credit for the style his team plays but Wigan are still **** year on year.
