Can it be true that Kenny Dalglish wants to pay £M5 for Enrique. The player is currently valued £11M by Newcastle United, and have a year left on his current contract. He can go for free next summer. I understand Dalglish would like to wait till sometime in the second half of August to force the issue. The game can also be very risky if Liverpool eventually miss out on the player. We must look for other possible options. What do you think.?
Clichy went for £7M from a bigger club with a better individual reputation. I'd just like the deal to be done, finally, so up to £10M seems reasonable.
Fair to say they probably have backup options if it doesnt come off and it looks likely Enrique could force a move(Recent Outburst).Combine that with the way newcastle seem to be a selling club in the last two transfer windows...
I don't think anybody else is busting a gut to sign him so good business. I don't get the talk of "missing out" on players. Either there's a problem with the fee or the personal terms but we don't miss out because we weren't online at the right time and missed an email or didn't phone to ask what the latest news is.
You can only miss out on players if you actually put a bid in,is there solid evidence that Liverpool put a bid in for: Young Jones. Clichy If you can find some show it.
I would still prefer Cissokho. If we get quoted over £10 for Enrique, I say we should go for Cissokho.
There was interest from Liverpool in all 3 players, I even recall you saying Liverpool putting a bid of £22m for Jones after he'd agreed to go to United was a masterstroke. SOURCE: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...d-land-phil-jones-for-165m-again-2296782.html Clichy too, every website there is reports they bid £5m: http://www.google.co.uk/#q=clichy l...gc.r_pw.&fp=6f7f275474461f34&biw=1600&bih=785
I still like the thought of having a German in the team. That Jansen is German, I don't know much about him but he is GERMAN! Enrique wouldn't be a bad buy at all though.
If you believe this guff then more fool you. But, if you DO believe it, then you should read all of it, especially the bit where they state categorically that Liverpool's "bid" was a bit of mischief on the part of Kenny, and not to be taken seriously. A bit like how we take you.
