I think that could be the voices in your head. Let's face it, Liverpool's squad is so average at the moment that changing the manager would probably do more harm than good. At least Dalglish gets the support from the fans and the players. Doubt they'll replace him till the end of the season when the new man can spend the American cash.
Do they have the cash to spend, and trying to get the players they need will be hard, if not in Champ League. Until such time Dalglish is Losttheplotpools boss.
Well their owners claim to want to only spend from profits and reinvest cost savings. But given that they have no profits and have already reinvested all their cost savings into Downing and Henderson...they're gonna have to bite the bullet and dig deep if they want to ever get a sniff of the top four again...
I think the only thing that will placate his critics (and there are many including very loyal scousers fans) is for him (Dalglish) to say sorry for what he did in the last few months. He could use the unreliability of Suarez as an excuse e.g I didn't realise he was such a low life or that he was so totally untrustworthy. Actually his excuse that he didn't know what happened at OT does not wash. Can you imagine in 2 hours and after all the fracas at half time, no one actually told him? Is this credible? anyway he has now apologised ... Note his statement said I didn't SEE and not I didn't KNOW... I have the feeling ( and I have been right so far) that the owners under pressure from the american media (to whom these things matter a great deal) will force Dalglish the muppet and Suarez to apologise directly to Evra. Unitl that happens, this cannot be put to bed, even though these 2 teams do not meet again. What Dalglish did not take into account was that in taking on Evra on this matter they didn't take on a United player but a black player. There is a world of difference and compared to when Dalglish was a player, there are now LOTS of black players in the teams that the scousers will meet until the end of the season. Suarez will be booed mercilessly by every crowd outside Anfield.
Um no thats McCarthy out of Wolves. Don't get it they only lost 1-5 to their biggest rivals, not like it was 1-6.
But they don't think they've done anything wrong, or even that Suarez is guilty. Until that changes they haven't learnt anything. The real reason for the half assed apologies.
This is what is quite amazing. Suarez is a selfish moron but he is only 25/26 years old and is new to this country's football and non-football cultures. He will rely on Dalglish to guide him. On that front, Dalglish has failed not only the player but more importantly the club. Suarez has accepted he said the N word at least once. Dalglish should have just said to him, that although he was not racist and was unjustly accused, he should say sorry to Evra because he did not mean to be offensive (as it was very often used in a non-abusive way in Uruguay) and that let's draw a line under the episode for the sake of the club. He may get 3-4 match ban. Just accept it and move on. By fighting it, Dalglish encouraged the self serving **** to obfuscate, lie, drag the club into all sorts of blind alleys, expose the club to condemnation from many anti-racist groups. I am also surprised that none of Dalglish's colleagues in the management spotted the pitfalls. If I could see it coming (and I am not in any PR/media industry) why didn't they? Even now, if Dalglish comes out and says the club is fully conscious of their responsbilities and can see how Suarez actions may have been seen as racist in nature, Liverpool can retrieve itself. Why didn't Dalglish also not avail himself of the help of some antiracist groups or of Gordon taylor who had offered his help? It is one thing putting it all out for good and loyal players like Reina, Gerrard or Kuyt but Suarez???
The Americans let Kenny run the show until the story reached America, their other (bigger) brands and therefore their sponsors cash etc. The NY Times picked it the story on Sat. 9am US time LFC released a statement to protect NESV's global interests
That is why I think Dalglish's stand does not play well with the owners and their american colleagues. Dalglish is a cult hero with some of the scousers fans here in his stance (circling the wagon, paranoia, the media all against them ) but out there in the global village Dalglish's actions have been viewed as simply grotesque and trying to defend the indefensible. His short snappy replies against the Sky or BBC reporters may go down well with his own fans but when replying on general questions about abuse, behaviour and booing they sound really awful to the general audience . I think that the owners will now keep control of the situation. Why haven't the club employed a good PR person to take over? Dalglish is clearly incompetent at dealing with this and dragging the club into the sh*t.
Apologies apologies.... I am surprised he didn't resign if he truly believed he was right in the assessment of the situation. Now the whole world knows he talks boll**ks most of the time but only this time he had to own up to it..
My prediction of old Scraghead being out of his job at the end of the season look bang on. The fact he still wears a tracksuit at 60 odd is another reason why he shouldnt be representing a big team like liverpool as its manger..........trampy twat
Swarbs, can I ask where you 'source' your info from? All this b^llshit about what the owners want to spend and what they have already spent - jeez, you guys make me laugh - Take your head out of your arses, and look at your own sorry shambles for a while, instead of obsessing about LFC!
