Yep, just shows why Liverpool do no good, continual changes of manager. Benitez, Hodgson and Daglish have all had decent managerial records so something else must also be wrong or the club is expecting too much. In the end it is a combination of both. As for Adkins I am not sure the owners or fans would buy into him at the moment, fortunately.
Never in a month of Sundays will Nige go there. The Yanks were right to get rid...not sure who they will replace him with though.
Adkins might be Liverpool manager one day, but the fact that the bookies have given Neil Warnock, Karl Robinson and even Roy Hodgson better odds indicates that the chances of it happening now are slim to none.
Mark Lawrenson expects Kenny Dalglish to continue as Liverpool manager after the Scot met with the club's owners in the United States. "My gut feeling is that he'll be OK in terms of his job," ______________________________________________ Well, since we've been away from EPL one thing hasn't changed..........Mark Lawrenson is still **** at his predictions!
Pat Murphy (Radio 5) was mentioning Brendan Rodgers for the Villa job! If Liverpool go after a home-grown product it could well be a dynamic Scot like Rodgers, Lambert or McLeish (LOL). My bet is on one of the first two!
Adkins wouldn't go now anyway, he has never rushed into anything in his career and I think he'd see it as a step too far. A few years down the line, maybe.
If they get Martinez, I think that'll just about guarantee Wigan finishing below us next season. I'll be hoping for that.
