We have a player here that has never let us down and is more than competent in many different positions. If Rojo turns out to be the LCB he looks like he could be and Shaw keeps up his form where do you see Blind fitting in. Midfield is more than covered so does this mean that a player who is easily good enough to play for us at the top level will end up as a utility man because of his versatility, if so what a waste of talent.
If he's worse than the current midfielders and defenders then by definition he's not good enough to be first choice?
We do need utility players like him. Our players get injured so often judging by last season that we need cover for all positions. Some need cover after falling out with you know who
Right now I'd rather him at centre half than Rojo but the fact is we're building a squad, not just a team. I don't recall people worrying about Herrera or Carrick when we were buying Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.
