I just wanted to start the ball rolling for tomorrows daily thread as have been given an unraced horse tomorrow in the first at Newbury and been advised to have a bet on. There are no odds up from bookmakers at present but betfair has it at third favourite trading at around 4-1. I was wondering if Mr Wildcats may know anything as i think (may be mistaken) that he knows people around the Stoute yard. Newbury 1.50 Altharoos
Clueless on breeding but Stoute won this race last year with a debutant in the shape of Tales of Grimm so thats a definite plus.
Will try get write ups done for as many of these as possible tomorrow 2.40 Nottingham Yurituni 9/1 3.25 Newbury Kangaroo Court 25/1 (small e/w) 4.00 Newbury Sound of Guns 8/1 (as posted on yesterday's thread) 4.30 Newbury Trumpet Voluntary 16/1 5.55 Newmarket R Woody 25/1 7.35 Newmarket Monzino 25/1 NAP (have put on half my stake now as am hoping for a bigger price tomorrow and no Hugh Taylor!)
Keep a close eye on the 2yo Maiden at Newmarket tonight (6.25). It's always been a hot little race and two years ago the race threw up no less than three G1 winners - Colour Vision, Nathaniel and some horse called Frankel
Newmarket 8.05 Perfect Step 4/1 This is the hottest fillies handicap ive seen all season and undoubtedly the race of the day, I really like this filly and I think she could be a bit better than a handicapper.
ROTO: I cannot believe that you are 'clueless on breeding', no way can that be true. You do yourself an injustice! (An aside on football, just read, "Barton 'set for Marseille swap deal'". God, I hope that comes to fruition!). GL today everyone!
Blueblood of the Day: SNOW ROSE (7.55 Kempton) - Full-sister to Raven's Pass making her racecourse debut
A lot of races and runners today so may have to throw a couple of arrows. Will be on the following 3 today though: 3.35 Newc - Discression 10/3 5.15 Newc - Premier Choice 11/4 7.00 Newm - Elkhart 7/1 Good Luck
This has to be some sort of joke from the Racing people today... Racing from New - Bury, Castle and Market... Jeez its hard enough trying to remember which one you liked initially only to forget which bloody course its running at...!!! Anyway i few that i like are... 2.30 Castle - Party Line, 7/2... 3.00 Castle - Modern Lady, 7/2... 4.30 Bury - Byton, 9/4... Put in a win patent... good luck to all who play today...
Afternoon all and thank you Blue for the daily thread, (nit picking but you have missed the 'L' out of daily in the thread title ) A couple from me today runs in the 3.50 Nottingham John Gosdens filly RED HAND 16/1 (EW) after a very dissapointing run in Listed Company LTO she drops back to the level what saw her getting competitive when finishing 1/2l second in a similar race, at odds of 16/1 is worth some small EW money. Finally in the 8.25 Kempton another John Gosden trained horse take the eye, UNEX MICHELANGELO 16/1 (EW) takes a drop in distance and class, at his best is good enough to get involved. Good luck to all who play today
Athreroos now out to 6-1 but i am going to have a little faith in the info and have backed it to win and with a reverse forcast with the Hannon Favourite, who it must be said looks well fancied. Atheroos is nearly an each way price which i think would be a fantastic bet were it to drift a little more to say 8s.
Juana Belen was in my tracker for his first run but dissapointed on his 2nd outing. Shorter odds than I would have liked today but this is a much weaker race than the last 2. 6:05 Catterick Oblitereight runs again today in 8:55 Kempton with a 6lb penalty for his easy win over C&D lto, shouldn't stop him winning this.
hey tipsters ! I know finding a winner any day can be hard .. but I'm off to my local track at Chester tomorrow - anyone got any ideas for me ? All chat welcome .. thx in advance
I wouldn't consider myself a tipster, nor do I hope would anyone else! But I think Dream Vale if priced up at anywhere near forecast in the 2:25 could be a nice price for one that has a decent shout? Her Beverley form looks pretty strong in that race.
A very nice run from Atheroos i feel and definately worth following this horse. He did not break too well and so never got clear to race untill a furlong and half out but picked up very well to pass everything except the first two who had already gone. Paul Hanigan then allowed him to come home on his own with hands and heels. I think he will prove best of a reasonably decent field there today, having said this however the Hannon favourite must be better than that performance.
Just picked this up from another website, 2.20 Newbury Codemaster 25/1 is subject to good reports at home and may be worth a little EW flutter
The wrong Hannon horse scuppers a 1st 3 favs across the cards! How many times have I been on Hughes and Dobbs/Moore/Twiston Davies et al have pumped the apparent 1st string! Is Hughesie becoming Dettori for picking the wrong un?
