Newcastle United duo Mathieu Debuchy and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa visited a local school on Monday to give French lessons to the students.

With as many 10 Frenchman in the first team squad at St James' Park, it might be an idea for the North East natives to invest some time in learning the language.

It is a theory that the defenders clearly subscribe to and they cast aside their role as local football heroes to become le professeurs for the day at Newcastle School for Boys.

The Magpies travel to Everton on Saturday on the back of last week's 4-1 win away to Hull City.
