Racing comes from Catterick, Lingfield, Uttoxeter, Sandown, Worcester, Downpatrick and Killarney.

As the now self proclaimed King of Catterick, I suppose I'd better concentrate on the Yorkshire course. In the 14:20 I thought the top weight Opus Maximus would be hard to beat. The 6 furlongs might be a bit on the short side for him, but he possesses a powerful finish. The race looks to have loads of pace with quite a number horses capable of leading. I'm hoping that the speed will be on from the outset, which will, with a bit of luck, suit the selection.

My nap for the day arrives in the 15:50 where Royal Bajan takes on a pretty hot field of Class 4, 3 year olds over the 5 furlong scamper. Again the race if filled with pace which will hopefully see the selection, who should sit just off the pace. He ran into a load of trouble last time out, and at the price, he seems a good each way punt.

Both selections go against the grain when it comes what's usually needed to win around Catterick, but the past performances of both horses merit some consideration.

All naps and comments welcome.

Cyc: You will be pleased to know the going at Catterick Bridge is good now and although overcast it is a warm day so your 350 selection may get his ground after all mate :)

Sadly i am unable to attend today but have a sneaky fancy for one in the 420. Hal of a Lover without doubt did not run his race LTO and i am willing to give him another chance today. If he settles i think he will place and hopefully make the Sir Mark horse go some! Dependant on the prices i shall cover the bet with a SFC

Morning, all. Hope everyone got on Shifting Gold at the advised 9/2 last night at Southwell Sands. Well done to him and the lovely Amy Ryan. Incidentally this one could run over hurdles later in the week if all is well (Shifting Gold, that is, not Amy Ryan). Here’s a question for the great forum brains has a horse ever won under both codes within the same week???

Meanwhile, am fascinated by the news that Nathaniel could be supplemented for the old ‘King George’ in 10 days time. Would go there with a real chance, in my opinion, as his win in the ‘King Edward VII’, Frankel apart, was as good as anything that I have seen on the level this term.

Morning all, tough days racing today me thinks. My nap is Moheeb e/w in the 19.55 at Sandown, think it can follow up although will be tough to beat the favourite. Will also be doing the r/f.

Interesting selection in the 16.20 GDC. Im sure someone on Fugees used to get info on that one?

Morning Don, the money is already coming for Hal of a Lover! Possibly because SDS is riding? Young Brendan used to get info i believe :)

I can see the Sir Mark horse drifting throughout the day BUT then an on course plunge on him. Due to the price i have backed Hal to win at 7s BOG and taken £12.56 BOG for the SFC with 365.

If he settles and hopefully SDS will manage to do that he has a fine chance. <cheers>

I havee done the same GDC. Also done a smaller amount on Hal / Memory FC which is 15s.
Think both those are excellent bets.... thinking about it might top up with some more!!

Think SDS could have another cracking day..... thinking of perming his. Any thoughts?

Well as predicted the money is piling on Hal of a Lover and the favourite is drifting, i still firmly believe it will be vice versa come race time!

Don: Hal is looking a nice bet now at the prices :emoticon-0100-smile I shall take a peek at SDS other rides and see what i think but you'd be better off asking the ones who bet in every race rather then me mate, i'm more selective and tend to wait for the bigger meetings :emoticon-0100-smile

Don: He doesn't have that many rides mate now. He wont win the first (N/R) and no ride in the 2nd or last.

320: I backed Eijaaz LTO when at catterick, horse loves the course but is 10 now so...........

350: Joe's selection has been hammered in the betting so a RFC with Bay of Fires with SDS up.

Hopefully he will win on Hal of a Lover though :smiley-finger007:

Hal of a Lover owner in mexico, didnt know it was running. text me back saying got great chance but yard wary of Prescotts runner, think it was looking for handicap mark but won well last time out, so the advise given was place bet, hoping it wins

Hernandos Boy, syndicate ownership were pulling out after last race but when he won and won well, they decided to run in claimers and sellers and see what happens, Horse going well and is capable of this but time tide and the catterick bus wait for no man and he is 10, injury prone and ,,,,, EW advised
EW DOUBLE AND SINGLES
Positive jockey bookings for both rides

Stay Frosty
