No real tips here, just sharing what I know about a few runners tomorrow; SPANISH ARCH 2.40 Worcester is actually for sale so that makes me think that they don't think he has much improvement in him. He is currently owned by the yards sponsor whose other horse HAYJACK runs at Fontwell. Spanish Arch is actually fairly handicapped and with Kielan Woods taking off 3lbs he may go fairly well. SHANTOU MAGIC 3.25 Fontwell will interest a few on here as his bumper run last season was a fourth behind Red Sherlock, The Skyfarmer (form dubious) and Captain Cutter. That's pretty decent form for a winning point to pointer. He has summered at Timmy Murphys in preparation for what should be an exciting season for his syndicate. He has been waiting for the ground to soften and now gets his chance. I would prefer to see him over further than this but all the same is a very interesting runner. BABY SHINE 4.00 Fontwell is an interesting recruit to novice chasing. My info is that she jumps pretty well but the vibe is that she just may need the race tomorrow. HAYJACK 4.30 Fontwell looked decidedly useful in novice hurdles the season before last. He was given the first half of last season off but he really didn't seem to have thrived. The feeling is that there is much better to come from him especially when he goes chasing but he is now very well treated on his novice hurdle form. I cant say that he should be backed with confidence but again he is a very interesting runner. VENCEREMOSS 4.55 Worcester is definitely useful having won back to bumpers last season but then lost her way badly after being sent for a very hot bumper in Ireland and awful ground. The yard are pinning their hopes that it was that race taking a lot out of her that produced a downturn in her form. If that is the case she could run a very big race tomorrow. I am NOT tipping any of the runners mentioned here, just sharing what I know!
In Baby Shine's race i thought it was interesting that Barry Geraghty has come over for just the one ride on Heronry. Might be reading to much into it though because he's probably over a lot at the moment schooling and getting to know the new horses.
That 4.00 is a cracking early season beginners chase, with quality horses in Fox Appeal, Black Thunder and Baby Shine. Throw in experience with Ohio Gold, and the Hendo horse and it should be a race to watch for the future.
Morning guys with the weather being so horrible hopefully NADDIRR 3.05 Newmarket will offer some sunshine and oblige with an easy success GL if you follow currently 3/1
Think its a great spot hawkeye he is booked for 2 at Aintree no racing for him in the emerald isle, he has won on Heronry in the mud so im on @3s as always stay frosty
2.40 Worcester The RP say "Some interesting chasing debutants locking horns but ACHIMOTA has the benefit of experience and will go on the ground" and they appear to be right, likes the mud, jockey has won on the nag in the mud and at 8s I like it stay frosty
Morning, troops. Disappointing to see that Mr Henderson didn’t make it big ‘Down Under’ earlier this morn. His Forgotten Voice was only 5th in the old ‘Geelong Cup’. The soft ground has been blamed for the poor run. Meanwhile, not beyond the realms of possibility that Forgotten Voice may run again within the next few days as connections seek the handicap boost to get him into the ‘Melbourne Cup’. Onto this afternoon’s action and my regular readers will know that one trend that always perks up my attention is when a top notch trainer enters an unraced one at the 5 day stage of a Listed/Group affair. Radiator ticked this box earlier in the campaign as did MUNJAZ who belatedly has the second race of his career at Newmarket today (4.10). On his debut Munjaz was a very creditable 3rd behind Pinzolo who has since gone on to win Newbury’s Haynes Hanson & Clark and is a leading fancy for Saturday’s Group 1 ‘Racing Post Trophy’. That initial outing looks a very solid one and with that experience behind him Munjaz ought to break his maiden this afternoon. Furthermore, you can be sure that old boy Gosden will have worked his magic and bought Munjaz to a ‘peak’ this afternoon. 9/4 was taken earlier on. Good luck, people.
Afternoon all. Two for me today. TOUCH THE SKY 4.10 NEWMARKET (11/4). Going against the old Chuckles boy in this maiden. Touch The Sky really impressed me on debut when a running on fourth over course and distance. Left the impression he would definitely be winning a maiden before long. I think he can put his debut experience to good use here and get off the mark at the second time of asking. DEVILMENT 5.20 NEWMARKET 7/2. One of the easiest winners of the season last time out at Kempton when readily quickening clear of what was a fairly poor field. However he looks the type that will do better with more racing and his second behind the Sir Michael Stoute trained Ghaawy at Chepstow prior to his Kempton success (Ghaawy won a nursery off 83 next time out) puts him right up there on form for today's race. I would like to think he has improved since then as well and 7/2 looks a bit big.
Afternoon all another flutter at 9 looks to big so small ew another I'm intrested in started at 16s now 12s is paradise expectedhad a few doubles and a treble with mr frostys aswell goodluck as always
Nice to see you back rv... Hope the world has been good to you in your absence from here...? Interesting game last week with your toon and my red men...? Good job you give us a pen, i dont think we were gonna score up to then...
Cheers Red. Ayeeee not bad I guess mate you well ?. Haaaa was fuming with Mbiwa bringing Suarez down ffs was a good game
Not bad myself, though works a bit quiet... Yeah, it was a good game and i think it shows where we are at the moment, prob a 4th placed team at best... Good luck with your picks today, as i see you had a winner the other day... Form and class as they say...
Stew. Think it will be close mate. A good result good kick start your season and a loss well it could finish it early 2-1 NUFC
The result in April against your lot was without doubt the result that kick-started our push to avoid relegation. Hoping for the same again on Sunday (as unlikely as it seems). We were dreadful second half on Saturday gone against Swansea, if we play like that again we'll get nothing.
Can someone please explain to me why on earth Sweet Lily Pea is 66/1 in the 7.20 at Kempton, bookies mistake? Way way high
