I wanted to get one up early as the price may go.

    Lingfield
    2.00 Nassau Storm 5-1
This horse needs backing today as it has fallen to a very reasonable mark of 83 for a Grade 4 race at Lingfield and yet in my view retains all the ability that saw him racing at the likes of Ascot and Goodwood from a mark of 93 in grade 2 races only 6 months ago. This horse is now on a mark it can win at, has a good draw, a great jockey and is in the right race and for me that makes it a great bet at 5-1.

    Good luck all <ok>

ALPHA AND OMEGA 920 Dundalk I believe this horse will win easily and anything around 2/1 will be massive

Been waiting a while for a conifdent bet but have one at Leicester

    GARDE VILLE 3.10 11/4

Some fair form in France hefty weight for age allowance on handicap debut on his first start for David Pipe. First time blinkers and on official ratings is only 5lbs behind top rated (recieves 20lbs).

**** 9/2 now with Ladbrokes have backed at that price as well as the 11/4 BOG

So, does Rock On Ruby have the scope to make a chaser?

Always thought visually he looked a big hurdler compared to some of them. He has the speed and stamina for sure. Hope he jumps really well as he would be an exciting recruit to the Arkle challengers.

On a separate note, any ideas who runs in the Christmas hurdle yet? Was hoping for The New One v My Tent Or Yours but that looks scuppered with the former due to face Zarkandar on Saturday.

Looks like the Christmas Hurdle could turn into a walkover for MTOY Toppy, unless something comes over from Ireland. If you look at the Champion Hurdle betting on Oddschecker, you'd struggle to find another probable runner in the Christmas Hurdle before you get down to the likes of Melodic Rendezvous,Grumeti, Cinders & Ashes or Far West. If he's only up against that lot he'll go off at 1/4.

The New One might run in the Christmas Hurdle if he's not overextended on Saturday

If far too old in my view to start a chasing career now. Will be a 9YO in less than 3 weeks and horses of that age rarely go on to achieve much when asked to go over the big ‘uns at such an advanced stage in their careers. The adage ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ look relevant re Rock on Ruby and chasing.

What we don't know is what ROR has been doing at home. A chaser should be in his prime at 9 so if he has only just switched at home it would not sound too promising. I reckon he must have been showing something at home. We will soon see hopefully.

    Morning all,

At Lingfield in the 3.30 an Apprentice hands & heels race I like CLUB HOUSE 7/2 many people will tell you your crazy for backing in this race but I think this horse has an outstanding chance to win here. Jockey George Buckell is 2/4 rides in the last month so he is one of the better riders I would suggest.

    Best of luck all <cheers>

Been looking at this one, only yard stick I can find is a fifth 1-1/4L behind FOX NORTON when receiving 5lb. FN came over for a C2 handicap and was just caught by Nicky Hendersons Royal Irish Hussar when giving away 8lbs. Royal Irish Hussar went on to win the grade 2 JCB fairly impressively completing a treble.

Cor blimey, troops, how well in at the weights is Hendo's Riverside Theatre in tomorrow's Grade 2 Peterborough Chase! On official ratings he's 8 pounds 'well in' against Captain Chris and 12 pounds+ 'well in' against everything else!

Do you still think he is capable of a 167 performance then Sir Barney?

Because African Gold ran poorly on chase debut and fell yesterday <doh> and because At Fishers Cross blundered 2 out when still holding every chance on his reappearance. Other than that the third was beaten by Morning Assembly next time with Ballycasey back in 3rd. The 4th hasn't been seen since. Utopie Des Bordes was beaten miles yet has developed in to a smart handicapper and the 6th home Le Bec is 2/2 over fences what exactly are you laughing at Boston ???????? :emoticon-0112-wonde

GARDE VILLE 3.10 for me today, first bet in ages after loosing too much at my day out at the Newbury!

Mate that knows one of the owners who gave me Miracle Of Medina at 25's a while back, got a list of horses to look out for within the next month from her, the fupping eejit lost the paper he wrote the info on, but no fear he'll see her again to get the info on Sunday which obviously I will share.

Out tonight to watch my team beat the mighty Barce in Catalonia! Really think we will win tonight 12 goals in 2 games and nothing to play for and Barce have been playing bad with quite a few injuries, 14/1 so may have a cheeky tenner on them! Always a dreamer!

The Honeyball horse in the last Leicester huirdle, Fountains Flypast who hasn't run for 2 years, is being backed while the Pipe horse is on the drift. Hmm.

I don't think the Neptunes form is that weak (I'm tempered slightly by the fact that the favourite Pont Alexandre underperformed in it though) but the Supreme's is certainly stronger. I've banged this drum for a while now...
