BALMUSETTE; Ran into a useful one on debut but made amends when scoring in workmanlike fashion next time at Uttoxeter. May struggle to follow up under a penalty. LAND OF VIC; Sneaked a very cheap lead when winning second time out but ultimately stayed on very nicely. Nice NH pedigree and more improvement likely. ALWAYS MANAGING; Only a second foal but half sister is already a winner and as her dam won in bumpers she is an obvious one on pedigree. Connections definitely capable of having one ready. AVISPA; Another with a decent pedigree and hails from a yard in form although they are not renowned for starting their best bumpers off at this venue. CALL ME EMMA; Easy winner of a modest looking mares point to point. Pedigree emphasis is on stamina and some may well do her for speed. Further rain would help. CLYFFE DANCER; From a very in form stable and no surprise if she didn’t go well. Not an outstanding pedigree by any means but there are winners in the family. Market will reveal all the clues about this one. DEFINITELY BETTER; Entitled to show a lot more than she has so far in similar events given her lofty price tag. Forecast rain will not help the cause. DELINEATE; Bumper winner in the family which always sets the alarm bells ringing but there are better pedigrees on offer than this one. DUNMALLET BELLE; Beaten a long way on debut in a modest looking Ffos Las bumper and will need to improve markedly to take a hand. GAYE MEMORIES; Dam a winner on the level and has a nice pedigree. Yard yet to have a bumper winner but foolish to dismiss this one lightly. KAYFLEUR; Undoubtedly the pick on form as her run in a listed bumper at Aintree has yielded no fewer than five next time out winners. The Daly team are hitting their stride right now and this filly will take a lot of beating. LEAHNOR; From a nice family and being a half sister to a bumper winner she has to be respected. LEITH HILL LEGASI; Looks the stable second string on jockey bookings but Kielan Woods rides her at home. From a staying family so certainly not an obvious bumper winner. MAKADAMIA; From a top class NH family and connections are likely to have her spot on for her debut. Surprising if she doesn’t make a very bold bid. MATERANIA; Out of a staying mare. Not an obvious one on her bumper debut and yard are pretty poor in this sphere. PATTARA; Has a really nice pedigree and no surprise if this one wasn’t in the shake up as new yard are going to be eager to impress. Interesting. PRESENT TREND; Presenting filly out of a Luso mare so the emphasis hugely on stamina. Likely to be seen to better effect over further in the future.Yard have a very good bumper record here but unlikely to improve on it today. TAMBALONG; First foal of a poor mare so easily dismissed. Sel; KAYFLEUR
Cheers mate, I know you've already said to save our money for another day but got to have a little something on it surely
I've had a small e/w dabble, just for the honour of the forum - imagine she wins and none of us have backed her no idea what price she will be but only small stakes so come on my gal
I think Stick is being a bit crafty here - he knows this forum's power to affect prices, so he's playing it low key to get a better price! I'm lumping on just in case Are you sure it's this one at all Stick - just noticed the 2-40 Warwick where Stickers runs
15.25 Warwick- Tim The Chair- 7/1 Is running off a mark 2lb lower than when he last won, was not on form what so ever last year, but neither was his stable mates. He has a top amateur on him (i know its a conditional race), and with the stable bang on form- dont be suprised if he puts a decent effort and returns to form off his revised mark which will make him very hard to beat
I am very much looking forward to 1.25 Fairyhouse Drumlee's hurdling debut. I backed him for the Cheltenham Bumper but he injured himself that day so put a line through that. Thought the form he showed when landing a big gamble on debut for Sean McParlan (now with Charlie Swan) was up there with the best going into Cheltenham with and he could be a serious, serious prospect.
big up Stick-- have a grand day, thanks for the info- i'm with you on the Daly beast, think that yard will have a good day today, with Timpo, Heronview and the one you rate...
Have a great day Stick and here's hoping she comes back safe and sound and has a good tilt at it ! I'll be on e/w ... and cheering you on from work !
Done a yankee on the following for a bit of interest: 1.20 Warwick Forest Walker 1.50 Warwick Harristown 2.10 Chepstow Red Riverman 2.20 Warwick Balder Success Best of luck everyone especially stick with his filly
Morning, team. 2 of the forum’s favourites lock horns in the ‘lucky last’ at Warwick today then – old boy Stick and Sam Waley-Cohen. I spoke yesterday about how impressed I was by the pedigree of one of these (not Stick himself but the Waley-Cohen filly, Makadamia) and as a result, and because I’m a sentimental fool, I’ve had a ‘Reverse Exacta’ on Makadmia and Present Trend, what a lovely name for a filly by the way. Small stakes but potentially big, big returns. Meanwhile, looks a big weekend for the 11th richest man in Wales. Not only has he got Oscar Whiskey making his fencing bow but we will also, all being well, see the hurdling debut of West Wizard. Quite possibly troops the latter is the next big thing in jump racing. Good luck, all.
good luck today stick I have to put a cheeky tenner ew just to cheer her on win or lose I hope she comes out fit and well
16:20 Chepstow - Admiral Blake (Open-looking affair, but this one will do for me at 11/2, best I could get. Proven form on heavy ground and will stay this distance easily. 201-day absence not normally my cup of tea, but can't resist this one, just hope he's fit. Excellent jockey too). Have a great day, Stick, and I hope your filly does you proud! Sure she will.
