Racing today comes from MUSSELBURGH, BRIGHTON, KEMPTON, WORCESTER AND SLIGO.

I have no idea about finding a winner today, so I'm not even going to bother.

    MUSSELBURGH.
    14:25 GREEN PARK. NASS. <cracker> WON 10-1 <cracker>
16:45 HAL OF A LOVER. HEISENBURG.

    BRIGHTON.
    16:00 CHEYLESMORE. DEGS.

    KEMPTON.

    WORCESTER.
    18:10 CHESAPEAKE. CYC
    19:10 COLD HARBOUR. ODDY. N. R.

    SLIGO.

    17:50 FOOTPRINT. STE.

Went around to a friend's house today.
His wife was there with their new-born baby.
She asked if I'd like to wind it.
I thought that was a bit harsh, so I gave it a dead leg instead.

Diabolical racing today, even from my standards!

Musselburgh looks like a repeat of last weeks Beverley card, and if the weather is diabolical in the north I think it could be another Clive B day.

The 2.45 is the most interesting race for me and I am very interested in Green Park. This is the best horse in the race and as such has to carry plenty of weight against a field of improving sorts, however I think he is beginning to warm to his game and I think he is very well handicapped at present. He drops into a 0-75 for the first time and this race softened ground is right up his street. He could easily win this and at 9/1 is a fair EW bet.

Now that was cruel. <laugh> Great team though. It's been a long time since you were the number one team in the world. I'm a huge Alastair Cook fan. He had to fight for his position for the last Ashes tour to Oz, but when he got here, he really bloomed. And now to see him continue on at home against India is wonderful. Nothing like a quality left handed opener.

Had a fair old study of the 7.10 at Worcester this evening and think Cold Harbour (NAP) could take this moderate looking affair. After a convincing success over C&D 2 runs ago (class 4 handicap off a mark of 106) he was upped 7lbs to 113 for his next appearance, again at Worcester over 2m7f in a class 3 handicap, where he unseated his rider at the 2nd. He goes again of 113 tonight and I thhink this still could be a winning mark, expecially with the 10lbs claim from the jockey (who has already won on him). The ground and trip look perfect and I think the Jonjo O'Neil newcomer is too short on handicap debut. The admirably consistent Gem Mill looks a danger for Peter Bowen lurking down the bottom, but I think winning off a mark of 91 is just beyond him. The same sentiments apply to Itzacliche, who has been creeping up the weights without winning. Rifleman and Baily Storm would both have a squeak on their best form but the latter in particular has been disappointing of late.

All in all I think this is a good chance for Cold Harbour to grab another vistory and he should be a nice price with the O'Neil shortie holding up the market.

    Good luck everyone <ok>

    Yes I saw that result.

The Acomb tomorrow looks a fascinating little race, perhaps we might see something special.
