Thanks for the DT Blue. <ok>

If I may, I'd like to say that as of yesterday, the King of Catterick is dead. There is now a new reigning monarch, Nass. On Wednesday I asked His Majesty for information on the 15:50 at Catterick. Quick as a flash, he offered up Cadeaux Pearl. It flew the barrier and lead all that way, at 6-1 no less.

The King is dead; all hail the King!

Morning people!

It's the Open today, 4 days of golf ahead for I'm off on holidays this week! My nap therefore is for the good old Open and I suggest we look no further than Northern Ireland's very own golfing genius Mr Rory McIlroy to claim the Claret Jug, the first of many I'm sure!

Bet365 must have been a little tipsy last night, as they were going 17-2 on young Rory but thats now back into the general 8-1. A decent price all the same and allows an each way bet if one desires! Top 6 paid out on Bet365, though some other firms go top 7 and 8 so shop around!

My other selections are Jason Day at 40s, Robert Karlson at 70s and Angel Carbrera at 75s.

Happy punting!

Long live King Nass :1980_boogie_down:

Since 606 shut down and not606 started you have gone from one extreme to the other from the sounds of it <ok>

I shall have to start paying attention to your selections instead of red lining them mate :emoticon-0102-bigsm

OPEN GOLF: Backed a few but only to small stakes:

£10 EW - Freddie Jacobson at 80s
£5EW - Porridge Harrington at 40s.
£5EW - Robert Karllson at 70s.
£5EW - Matt Kucher at 40s.
£2.50 EW - Davis Love at 225s.

Not confident at all as i believe and want LUUUUUUUKE to win or Westwood, just some daft bets to hopefully have some interest Sat/Sun.

Morning all just posted this on another thread

Interesting thoughts on Reliable Man Eddie. Can not have him getting the better of Treasure Beach myself, he was fortunate the Aga Khan horse was not a lot closer (held up last by about 20 lengths) and would have won that easy. Don't think the line through Bubble Chic and Pour Moi can be used that seriously due to the fact Pour Moi has improved with each run and stormed home from the back and laughed at that horse.

Treasure Beach form looks rock solid to me - beat Nathaniel who was actually race fit , that looks very good, got close to an improving Pour Moi in the Derby and his Irish Derby win was impressive with Carlton House beaten further than he was at Epsom. I have just remembered when looking back the massive rep Treasure Beach had as a 2yo because I was disappointed when he lost on debut, seems that he is finally living up to that rep as a 3yo

TREASURE BEACH the NAP today - good luck Joe not that you need it (Y)

Nass: Will do :emoticon-0102-bigsm I tend to listen to you when you discuss the Sand races as that's where you used to be good mate.

Don: You could do well today if you tried SDS in doubles and trebles mate, trouble is he has 7 rides! Maybe try and drop 2 of them but which ones LOL I have followed Mandarin Spirit and he will do very well to get that rogue home!

2 for me today and one to keep an eye on:

Strongest bet of the day runs at my favourite track Epsom. In the 610 Woodcote Place from the very capable Patrick Chamings (best trainer of older horses) has run twice at the Downs finishing 1st and 2nd. As most of you know Epsom is a very tricky course and horses often come back and run well after winning here. This one has had a pipe opener which should have blown the cob-webs away and is a very strong bet.

In the 230 Hamilton Park i am willing to take the chance on a horse I have been following in the form of Midnight Dynamo. This filly won very well on debut at Sunny Catterick but her 2 runs since she has missed the kick quite badly but been beaten less than 5l both times! Jim Goldie's horses are still firing very well and hopefully Danny Tudhope can get her out and she could pick her elders up.

Finally Roger Teal won the 640 Epsom last season with a very nice horse (Surrey Star) who went on to run some very nice races in much better class. Tigers Tale did not do much on debut but could just run a good race.

Be Lucky all who play <cool>

Gaz, will be a very impressive performance by Woodcote Place to win a claimer with that weight. Amazing to see a claimer that looks better than all the handicaps we have seen earlier in the week.

If you adjust the handicap marks using Woodcote Place as the marker you would get

Woodcote Place 84
Ancient Greece 78
Guilded Warrior 92
Frognal 90

Nezami 84
Bunce 83 (taking into account wfa otherwise it would be 91)

I think its a really trappy race and I find it fascinating that 3 year olds do so well in the race. Spencer riding for Hannon too.

It has a grand chance GDC, the betting however doesn't tell me how close it looks to be on paper.

Morning all.

Have been very scientific with my selctions today.

I have backed all of SDSs rides at Hamilton. Boring but simple. Mark Johnsons horses have been on good form and think he could quite easily get up a 4 timer.

Jeez Don - That's cost ya!! You'll need a 4 timer to get your stake back :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Fingers crossed mate, if anyone can get a 5 timer it's him at present! Although he wont win the 2nd race, that's mine :emoticon-0110-tongu

Gaz, because I am nice

Mr Balding is quoted as saying "A filly I really think a lot of. She had just the one run last year in a race that could not have worked out better, but sadly got injured. She’s a lovely filly and has done well over the winter. We’ve just got to mind her a bit because of the injury shepicked up and we’ll start her working on the grass as soon as we’ve had a bit of rain. She’ll start off in a maiden and we’ll take things slowly, but I’ve got a lot of time for her"
