    14.10 Yarmouth - Ajmany

It was unusual for trainer Luca Cumani to pitch an unraced juvenile into the hurly-burly of the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot but Ajmany ran way better than his final placing suggests, he was thrown in at the deep end when contesting the Windsor Forest at Royal Ascot on his debut and although outpaced early on, he was noted staying on well in the closing stages and that experience should have done him the world of good. Dropped in grade today and sure to relish this extra furlong,

    19.25 Newbury- Bronterre 6/4 (NAP)

He flopped when making his seasonal reappearance at very short odds in the Greenham and looked way out of his depth behind Camelot in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, but the eased-in-class colt is given one more chance. He seemed have plenty going for him as a juvenile and it is very tough to get away from his Dewhurst fourth behind Parish Hall, Power and Most Improved.

    Garmelo's Girl (2.50 Haydock)

    Sinnaada (6.50 Newbury)

    Rogoletto (7.45 Epsom)

    £0.50 e/w trixie. <ok>

Will be trialling this at the big Group race meetings from now on to see if we can find some combo value shots lying around in good quality races. This is just a little practice to see what you think.

TC - I am a fan of simple betting plans! Of late I do 1st three paper favs at each meet in singles and a treble! Some nice returns odds wise but as my stakes are low and the spread is large its purely for interest! Im a lunchtime/at work interest gambler! When I do get a return I do something with it (hand it to the MRS! ;-) ) Ive also tried top weights over the jumps, backing number 3 and number 7's. Top speed ratings in the placepots and like every dog Ive had my day! Enjoy and the best of luck!

To me a tip is someones interpretation of the race and is treated as such, though some peoples opinions count!

Best way to be mate. Small stakes and fun. If its not that, its not worth it and if you stick to that you won't go far wrong <ok>

Agreed- look at the array of tips we have on here, often in the same rac, as you say its just opinions!

    2.20 Now My Sun 12/1
    3.50 El Mcglynn 16/1

Garmelow Girl a big eye catcher for me aswell TopClass, drawn in the car park, missed the kick, switched right across behind the whole field, green as grass, was staying on best of all to nearly finish 5th, I think she will take a big step forward and she should be a decent price but the one I like is Inchy Coo. She put in a much improved performance at Ponty last time stepped up to 6f, she travelled well showing plenty of toe and a liking for soft ground, the winner brought some nice maiden form into the race and it looks quite strong on paper, she seemed to veer away from the whip about a furlong out and hung in behind the winner then stayed on again once pulled back out. I think the first time cheekpieces will help her concentrate and if she can come on again at all from that run, id be very keen on her chances in here, especially if the ground is testing.

Epsom Downs 18:05 - Kings Troop @11/2 (NAP)

The booking of William T-D claiming 7 in this is a very interesting one, looks as though they are targeting this for a return to winning ways. Has form against the favourite when 3&1/2 lengths 3rd back in September last year as 5 and 6 year olds, weights are such now that (including the claim) there has been a 20lb swing since that run. Patchy form in between but seems to go well at epsom with 2 wins and a place from 4 runs there. With any luck there won't be any NRs :undecided: and they will pay 3, at a saver ew price at 11/2.

Good to hear there are other fun small stakes punters around, to be honest one of my favourite bets is a 50p Lucky 15 with all selections being a decent price. Should one win it generally covers my bet and sometimes a little profit and a couple of times a year I get four up. For the last 8 months I have not added to my £50 deposit and I'm sitting with a very nice profit margin.

Last of the bug spenders here ...... Not but the thrill of winning is still the same

I'm a small stakes punter too Wayward, the £10 e/w I had on Haafhd at 33/1 for the Guineas gave me sweaty palms. Paid off though ;)

Today I shall be having a small punt on Warrant Officer in the 6.35 at Epsom (currently 33/1). I have not been given a tip for the horse, I simply fancy a bet and as Mr PN is in the RAF it seems an appropriate one. Also fans of the BBC radio show Cabin Pressure might get the joke ;)

Good luck PN, being in the forces myself I often have a silly bet on horses names bearing the rank of the Armed Forces. :)

Wayward, me too pal. Only little £2 - £5 wins when I fancy one.

Talking of fancying one - now that So You Think is out of Saturday's 'big un' you'd have to say that Farhh is the bet. Not sure what price he'll be but I could invest, only small stakes though eh!

    4.10 Yarmouth Strada Facendo

Not very inventive but cant see past this one today. Last time out finished a length second behind a horse that subsequently won off a mark of 83. Strada facendo has only gone up 3lbs for that effort and if you look back he has some smart form including a third behind gregorian. Dont think this is a particularly strong race and think he will take all the beating

yeah small stakes for me too-normally go five/ten win and e/w over 10s.Had a mate there who i see from time to time putting a tonne win on three races in a row and lost the lot in the space of 20 mins.he has a young family and a mortgage to pay so i was dissapointed to find him going in so deep and just gave him a gentle reminder to keep it to small stakes and not to be chasing your tail. Also my mate worked for an online poker company and people were literally begging him to close their accounts and ban them so they couldnt gamble.

Yes I was hoping people would ignore this one but the tipsters seem to be talking it up on various racing sites now. I had Farhh in the Prince of Wales, ran on very well in the end at after getting absolutely no room in running, thought it could have challenged So You Think with a bit of luck and was in fact fancying it again even had So You think been running on Saturday.

    Welcome Dbwonderland- good luck <ok>.

I also thought Farhh was impressive at Ascot but he is one of those horses I wouldn't be surprised if he was tailed off on Saturday even though his record suggests he could be a top notcher. TWICE OVER will not be far away on Saturday - he remains in training for a reason and it would be foolish to write him off. Can't believe he is 25/1

Bonfire for me. Didn't stay in the Derby and receives a lot of weight from a weak field. Nathaniel is the class horse but 1m2f on good is enough to put me off. Farhh ran behind Carlton House who I don't rate. Cityscape is interesting but has to prove he stays. Bonfire is far from the best horse in the race but the weight, trip and going might swing it in his favour.

Where's out European racing correspondant? <laugh> Crackerjack King has run his last two 10f races (both on good ground) in sub 2 minutes 2 seconds. I know different tracks, pace ect but that strikes me as Quick with a capital Q.
