Qualypso Dallier 5/1 Leicester 2.30 Drops back in trip today after fading over 3m 1f LTO. Well done yesterday Stick & anyone else who had a winner
Morning all Cyc can you tell me if the form of SCARF is any good ? - runs in the 2.30 at Meydan. I think that is a weak race and would be interested in that one on first start for SBS if his form is even half decent. Obviously I know his previous trainer because of Helmet and Sepoy. mate
Morning all, From Danbo yesterday: NOT sure if im about tomoz so when James rides for Kirby it usually means they have great chance, Kirby uses Reveleys gallops as he has none my mate who has major share in BPG owns I Got Music should be there or there abouts Roseville Cottage will place Stay Frosty
RV, I can't tell you too much about him, He's been Godolphin owned all along and trained by Peter Snowden. His first five races netted 3 wins and 3 seconds, one of the wins was in pretty quick time for the class. They gave him a small break then gave him another 6 runs for 3 more wins, one of which was a Listed event. They gave him 4 months off then 2 runs in Sydney, then he went to Melbourne for a G3 event over 1500m. He's gelding who has been racing in a lower class of race, but they must think something of him, or ship him across the planet. Will he handle the track over there, all his racing in Oz has been on grass. (is he on grass there?) The big thing for me is that they've sent a gelding away. Where does De Sousa fit in against Duncan and Barzalona? Who'd get the pick of the rides?
I like the top one against Silverburn today, but the price is ridiculously short so I will save the money for tomorrow.
Good morning all, hope we are all well... Unless your a Arsenal supporter who must be a little down after last nights performance... Just having a first glance at todays cards and then sharpen them darts...
Morning guys and thank you Ardent for the daily thread. I think there's a plot horse running in the 2.50 Southwell Kevin Ryan and Phil Makin send one to the meeting YOURS 20/1 who is stepped up massively in distance, although her immediate breeding line doesnt suggest that 12f will suit, she is a half-sister to fairly useful 1m-1m4f Flat/2m hurdle/chase winner Gringo and pair of French 1m/9f winners. All of her races up to now have been between 5 and 8f where she has shown little. She has the most experience and races under her belt and has competed in Handicap Company, today she drops back into Maiden Company that wont take too much winning and may be worth a speculative EW bet. One other I have just picked up in my NAG ME (so good they emailed me twice!!!!, could that be an omen) is BATTLEOFTRAFALGAR who runs in the 7.45 Kempton and is priced at 20/1, won off a mark of another 83 over C&D in Class 2 Company in April last year but has shown little since then, today he is 6lbs better off for that run in a Class 4 race and looks to be in with a very nice chance for a stable that seems to be hitting a decent run of form, and the booking of George Baker is significant. Looks a very nice EW bet.

Newbury declarations coming through and they look as good as we could have hoped. Should be a cracking good day.
Ready a Ruby Walsh interview and this is classic . . . . Do you have any racing superstitions? "I don’t actually. Some jockeys think any new colours or breeches are unlucky and stand on them for some reason! I actually think new kit brings you luck." Somehow think the first and last sentences might be contradictory!
Top man and brilliant jockey Ruby Walsh has taken time out of his busy schedule to answer our questions. Thank you for the fantastic response and here are the chosen few exclusive to our Facebook page: Dawn Spooner: Do you have any racing superstitions? I donât actually. Some jockeys think any new colours or breeches are unlucky and stand on them for some reason! I actually think new kit brings you luck. Alex Miller: Which horse does you most fear in the Champion hurdle? I wouldnât fear one horse in particular. A lot would depend on the how the race is run, especially when it comes to Rock On Ruby and Zarkander. Grandouet has made great progress from four to five, so youâd have to respect him and if Zarkander, who is also a five-year-old, has made similar improvement then he could have his say. I wouldnât swap Hurricane Fly for any of them though. Ryan Greenaway: Do you think Big Buckâs will retire with his winning streak intact? I hope so! Itâs a lot more difficult for Jumpers though to stay unbeaten. It seems Black Caviar only had to go into the stalls to win. There are a few more variables for Jumps horses... Colin Cullis: Is Kauto Star the best horse you've ever ridden? Most definitely Conor Mahon: Outside your grade 1 rides, what is the ride youâre most looking forward too? Quevega, who will be bidding for a fourth win in the David Nicholson Maresâ Hurdle at the Festival. I donât know if she gets the credit she deserves as she has shown herself to be top class. Sheâs not an easy mare to train but she will go straight to Cheltenham, and you can be sure Willie (Mullins) will have her spot on. Adam Bissell: If you could ride any horse at the Cheltenham Festival, that wasn't trained by Willie or Paul, which one would it be and why? Sizing Europe. His form is absolutely rock solid. Sarah Plummer: What race haven't you won and would like to win and why? What used to be the Tote Gold Trophy, and is now known as the Betfair Hurdle, run at Newbury on Friday. Tom Green: What would you prefer? Break your record of 7 festival winners, but that not include Kauto Star, or only have one winner but it be Kauto Star? Iâd like to ride eight winners at this yearâs Festival â but with no caveats. Letâs leave it at that! Graham Smith: Which festival victory to date gave you the most satisfaction? Kauto Starâs first Gold Cup Mike Ralls: when travelling down to post you always look so focused. What is going through your mind? Iâm thinking about how the horse is behaving, whether heâs relaxed or free or getting worked up â basically the task in hand. I donât often switch off before a race. Tom Hardcastle: Any plans to train when retired? Some days I think I might like to, some days Iâm not so sure... So to summarise: Zarkandar (Betfair), Hurricane Fly, Quevega, Sizing Europe and Big Buck's (and maybe Kauto?!) are bankers.
"Ryan Greenaway: Do you think Big Buck’s will retire with his winning streak intact? I hope so! It’s a lot more difficult for Jumpers though to stay unbeaten. It seems Black Caviar only had to go into the stalls to win. There are a few more variables for Jumps horses..." From New Zealand he is still following the racing.
In other news, Steps To Freedom misses his intended prep at Dundalk and goes straight to the Festival. Nothing wrong with him, just a change of heart from Jessie Harrington. "Steps to freedom is 100% and still in track for Cheltenham. I just changed my mind about Dundalk tomorrow."
Gevrey Chambertin has been declared for the Newbury Bumper. Will be good to see him out again and in a decent contest to see what he's made of.
