Interesting bumper at Fontwell today. Ex-ponters Danandy and Waterunder head the market at 7/2 and 4/1 respectively. A bit mystifying to me as Waterunder beat Danandy 15 lengths in a point at Ballydarragh in November and went off a strong fav at 7/4 that day (Danandy 5/1). Jim Best's Ace Fighter Pilot is also at 4/1 but surely has it all to do off 11st 13lbs after just getting up to win a Towcester bumper first time out. The form of that race has been badly let down by the 2nd. Fighter Pilot was beaten 10L under the penalty at Hereford last time out by Paul Nicholls Vrai Vert, form which is difficult to assess as it was the winners first run. However Vrai Vert and the 3rd horse Two Oscars from Nicky Henderson's yard are both well bred sorts so the form doesn't look too bad. Paul Nicholls runs Presenting Arms who was pretty green on his debut and will likely show improvement from that run but I'm not convinced he will show enough to be involved at the business end.

Of the unraced horses, Boy Of Boru is well related (his full brother won this same race last year) but the one I like the look of, especially at the weights, is Seamus Mullins' Boss In Boots down at the bottom of the card. The son of King's Theatre is out of Grey Mo who was sired by Roselier - sire of horses such as Carvills Hill, Suny Bay, The Listener, Royal Athlete and Monet's Garden, and I am therefore hopeful that the dam will have a stamina influence. Seamus Mullins doesn't have that many bumper winners but I think at 10/1 this one is worth an e/w interest.

Morning all. Couple of interest in the last at Southwell at decent prices:

Steel City boy - 28-1 seems like some e/w value
    Rideway Hawk - 40-1 e/w

16:05 Fontwell - Boss In Boots

Late morning all! The bumper at Fontwell could be a win for a newcomer, so betting needs to be looked at? Took an early birds price (12s with Ladbrokes), just a small play though................

Ref Ueueteotl: I really like the form of the bumper in which he ran 5th last time, and have been following it quite closely. The winner Up To Something has won again since, the 2nd Flaming Arrow ran well in the class 1 Bumper at Cheltenham on New Years Day, and the 4th George Fernbeck was unlucky to find a decent Nicky Richards animal just a neck too good in his next race. I don't rate the bumper win of Viking Ridge too highly and I think the Aztec God can win this today.

    Morning all

Chiefy <laugh> it was genius from Odddy. You taking any of de kock today ?

    12.45 Catterick E.W GOODNESS 33/1 (Stan James)

An interesting maiden hurdle that surely Creekside will take in style if jumping around safely on his hurdling debut. He looks an exciting recruit to the NH code following a switch from the John Oxx stable. He was rated 104 at his best and left with a flat rating of 101. John Ferguson continues to keep his string in fine form and he is the one they all have to beat here. However he is currently priced up at around 8/11 and that is no sort of price and in my opinion there looks to be some good E.W value in Goodness. He raced 4 times on the flat for Sir Michael Stoute showing bundles of promise in two of those outings and not firing in the other two. He certainly had a fair level of ability judging by his 4th to Al Kazeem on debut and his 5th to Skilful at Lingfield. If he retains any of that ability he looks an interesting recruit to hurdling for David O'meara and he could run a big race at a huge price (currently 33/1 with Stan James).

1.45 Catterick CRY OF FREEDOM 11/4 (BOG- Paddy Power)

A fair Novices hurdle which may well develop in to a duel between the two currently heading the market. Star Flight looks set to go off favourite (currently 5-4) following a 15 length victory over Course and Distance last time out, that was a poor race though and despite building upon his hurdling debut when 4th to Bin End he will find it a lot harder to beat off Cry To Freedom this afternoon, at his best he was the Superior of the two on the flat by a long way (listed winner at 2) and a highest rating of 95 and he looked an excellent recruit to hurdling when winning well at Huntingdon back in November. The form of that race has a solid look to it and as mentioned earlier John Ferguson has his horses in fine form, for me Cry Of Freedom offers some good value at 11/4
