Just to begin a daily thread on a day which has some very good but very difficult racing. The big race the King George is a fantastic race even if short on numbers as we have proven class in Workforce, unfulfilled potential in St Nicholas Abbey, the young gun in Nathaniel and the come of age Rewilding. All week i have been for Rewilding but have decided not to bet now as i cannot bet against him but feel the ground has just maybe given workforce the edge in a close call.

    My selections for today are

    Ascot 1.30 Discovery Bay
    Ascot 3.15 Ariel Acclaim
    York 3.05 Class is Class
    New 3.20 Seal Rock

Johnny Murtagh is at Newmarket and i think will have an good day, so much so i have had a bet of trebles upwards on all of his mounts to small stakes for fun, they are:

    Entifadaah 8-1
    Tiger Reigns 17-2
    Instance 7-4
    The reaper 7-1
    springinmystep 4-1
    Anoint 11-4

    prices all VC best odds

Best of luck to everyone today

My bets are all up on the blog - http://nassauboard.blogspot.com/

    My nap today is Gerfalcon

whilst I really fancy the notebook horse Roker Park to run a big race in the Dash, I have backed it to place with Hoof It as my strong win selection for the race.

Too much racing again today - how on earth are you supposed to keep up. Ah well - looking at Ascot I like Lightning Cloud in the first race - couyrse and distance winner, going for the hat tirck and seems in very good order. The ground could be a worry but then i don't think he's the only one in that boat. In the cavalry charge (15-50) I can't get Excellent Guest's run at Royal Ascot out of my mind. he ran really well that day and the trainer was refreshingly honest before the race about his chances,. I would lven to back him today but the draw has to be a worry as he's in stall 3 and we all know that the higher stalls tend to win the argument at this track. Ah what the heck - I'll back it each way.

The king George is a no bet for me today but I will say Workforce to win it.

Having a bet today on the following, not had a bet in a while

    2.45N Instance
    3.15A Albaasil
    3.50A Hawkeyethenoo
    4.25N Anoint

there is various reasoning behind each selection but the main one is i think they will win!

    all the best today

    2.05 Ascot Comical
He followed up his good third behind Red Duke with an authoritative win at Yarmouth.
He should relish the cut in the ground and Frankie Dettori can make all on Mark Johnson's charge.

    3.50 Ascot. Leviathan
Having been running at 8 and 9 furlongs- he finished in front of subsequent Hunt Cup winner, Julienas, at Sandown- this return to a stiff seven furlongs on easy ground should suit Leviathan.
Also, his No.1 draw should help- they tend to do better than high draws when the going eases at Ascot. worth an each way bet.

    3.05 York. Dominant (Nap)
He seemed to progress well when winning last time, and can make his weight pull count.

    Afternoon Gents

My bet for today is the last at Newmarket - Devoted currently 7/1

Mr Kingscote has quite a good return on Beckett horses so that is where my money is going today.

Hope you all have a profitable weekend.

Fancy Workforce but a difficult day's racing.

Here's three I'll be taking an interest in today:

    Trumpet Major 2.05At
    Sharp Bullet 5.15Ne
    Entifaadha 1.45Nt

Would not be surprised to see an Elenora Duse return to form, but Twice Over looks a bit too difficult an opponent.

Well done the winner but gut-wrenching to see what happened to Rewilding...seemed to hit a false piece of ground...very sad..
