You're probably right Nass and I wouldn't back him for it but I think he is still unexposed and could improve again - enough to place? Possibly ................... Katenko for the Grand National perhaps?
Glad i resisted the temptation to back Katenko.... Have however backed Somersby at 7/2 . each way BPG.
Always makes one mistake SOMERSBY, usually gets away with it, not today! SDG immense! Take yer cuddys home to Ireland lol
Just to prove that I am absolutely ****ing cursed this season, I backed Sire De Grugy in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham, his only defeat in his last 7 races
Well I can no longer say I can't buy a winner, but at SDG's odds, I'm not going to recover my lost benefits He was pretty impressive though, and I don't think Somersby would have beaten him today even if he'd not blundered.
Excellent performance Sire De Grugy. Hidden Cyclone jumped disappointingly and I wouldnt get carried away with SDG's form. I think he is a big laying opportunity at Cheltenham but he has been a hugely improved chaser!
God i feel real embarassed after putting that up! lol...Reduced beer fund for tonight.....i m off out. well done all those that had winners today..
Sire de Grugy doesn't seem to like Cheltenham in my opinion. Wouldn't say he'd beat Sprinter anywhere but he's definitely not at his optimium there.
I'm sitting here cringing. We just got a goal - it's the only sign I've had that we had turned up! My brother is a bit superstitious and won't look at scores until he's sure al games are finished. He won't enjoy this any more than me, but at least I was resigned to this from 4-0 down! Edit: in reply to Oddy's post
VERY impressed by Irish Saint today Could he be one for the Coral Cup / County Hurdle / Martin Pipe Conditionals Hurdle at the festival? He was rated 140 for today's race so will likely be upped to somewhere between 146 and 150. Perfect weight for one of the big festivl handicaps.
Not sure what happened to Merry King today. Ran up with the pace looking good, then dropped right out as though beaten, but ran on from a long way back to grab 3rd. Is he entered in the GN?
He is an out and out stayer Ron and was staying on once the leaders had began to get tired, ran great in the welsh National. I actually feel that is his race as he also handles the ground I imagine come April he will have a problem with one or two speedier types in a finish on better ground. He will stay forever though and give his all, a really honest horse.
For those impressed by Melodic Rendezvous at Haydock today it is worth noting that Zamdy Man covered the same C&D 2 seconds quicker in the Supreme Trial Given the ground today that may be irrelevant
