Racing today comes from Wolverhampton ...... and nowhere else. Many might not like the look of the meeting today, but they'd be the weak among us. Time to stand up and be counted, no whining about the lack of opportunities or the desperate challenges thrown up by the card at Wolverhampton. Anyone can make a buck when all the good horses show up on a given day, but it takes a will of iron and a bit of class to do the job on days like these. Anyone here got either or both of these qualities?

Remember now, anyone caught whinging will looked upon with great suspicion.

I'd expect to see plenty of Joe Fanning in the winners enclosure today - he looks to have a very promising book of rides. The one I like best is Hinton Admiral who always puts in 100% and is in cracking form of late.

And I took you for a submissive husband, Cyclonic, who would lie on his back reading the form- whilst his wife did all the hard work! :emoticon-0141-whew:

    Today's tip:
    8.30 Nuneaton.
It's a ****ty Monday (crap racing, golf course closed, no sport to watch, wife going rambling). Going has eased but small patches of snow still on the course. Top weight in the race is Tamerlo, but that is nothing to do with ability- he's overweight as usual during the winter. Last six form figures RRRRRP- ran out, refused, ranted on, reared up,rolled over, pulled up panting.
    Latest odds:
    4/9 Haven't got a clue.
    6/4 Go back to bed.
2/1 Get up and have another cup of tea.
3/1 Just have a good moan.
6/1 Use my free bus pass and go into town.
    10/1 Annoy Not 606 members
    66/1 Say something sensible.

Recommended bet: Any runner. They'll all win. I guarantee it. Non-runner-change your bet for free.
Latest update-flood of money for "annoy 606 members" (into 9/4)

6/1 Use my free bus pass and go into town - I assume this is a typo Tam, must be a 50s shot

2/1 Get up and have another cup of tea - not great value but would certainly be my pick

    Enjoy

Favourite bolts in (Still haven't got a clue)
Late entry "Toilet Break" had a chance on the home turn, but it turned out to be just hot air.

    Morning all,

At the minute its like warming up to watch the World Cup final by watching Blyth Spartans take on Stalybridge.

That is to say, no bets today.

Anyone know what time gates open on Gold Cup day? Getting all excited already, and thats pre trips to Towcester and Sandown!

Cyc - every year we get sub-zero temperature in February and I lie awake with cold sweats worrying abot whether the festival will go ahead, then come the day it's 16 degrees and I wish I'd left the coat in the car.....
