Two seconds from my selections today...not good enough! On here putting up the thread for Monday early as I really like one and want to get it up asap.

8.40 Windsor KYLEAKIN LASS 14-1 Paddy Power ran on the all weather at Wolverhampton three weeks ago coming off a break. She had finished last season with a nice win at Kempton in a nursery. At Wolves she was drawn out wide so was made plenty of use of early doors to get a decent pitch. She ran really well until her exertions and lack of peak fitness told a furlong out.
Tonight at Windsor she will strip fitter and over the minimum trip I expect her to run a really big race. O'Gorman is a big danger but I think KYLEAKIN LASS is good value to at least run a place. Nobody rides Windsor better than Richard Hughes and having him doing the steering is a massive boost!

Stick, looks very interesting that one. Will have a dabble if I win a few bob on my fancies at Newton Abbott this afternoon......

There are 4 horses I like the look of in the 1st 4 races. I think the 4 have been knocking on the door, and at the projected odds, one winner will make a tidy profit. Will be backing them all e/w and Have already done 4 e/w trebles and a sneaky e/w accy.....just in case!!

2.20 Briefcase.
2,50 Autumn Haze
3.20 The Strawberry one.
3.50. Thenford Flyer.

Good luck to all who are having a dabble.....the Mrs is off to Portugal for a week this afternoon, so standby for many a drunken rant!!!<badger>

Morning All

I like Mark Usher's Mission Bell in the 3.00 at Wolves today. Missed the break on her previous run first time out and that experience might come in handy. 9/1 seems a tempting price anway.

Good luck whoever invests today.

It's a cracking read isn't it Mick?

Sadly, for me at least, Sir Clement's wife had a point.

I think there is a bet to be had in the first at Redcar as i fancy the Tom Dascombe horse to overturn the favourite. I will also take a reverse forcast in the race however as i cannot be sure that he will beat him but i am sure that he should not be 3 times the price of the favourite. The Dascombe horse ran in quite a decent race at Chester last time being not too many lengths behind a very decent winner giving it 5ib. The form of the Favourite is difficult to weigh up as the second to its 4th came out next time and came last of 7 in a class 6 maiden, the third has yet to run whilst the winner of the race ran a great 2nd to the big priced Dascombe horse on Friday Ceiling Kittie.

Redcar 2.10 Brazillian Clown 11-2 Win Bet

Afternoon, people. Hope everyone well. Chop, chop though. Look lively.

Nothing for me today but must say that I am Delighted with a capital ‘D’ to once again see God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot, back racing after a couple of recent abandonments due to the weather.

Meanwhile, I see that the local media are reporting that Grumeti is ‘to be aimed at the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot’. I’m no Royalist but must say that such a plan seems a bit harsh. What’s the old boy done to upset Alan King, me wonders?!?

As you know I am not backing anything until Derby weekend, but I wanted to alert you all to an old fave of mine in Windsors opener.

FALASTEEN has won some cracking little handicaps and scooted in for me once at 16/1. He is in a claimer today having lost his balance coming out of the stalls at Chester. Hopefully they will bounce him out today because if he runs close to his mark he will not be for catching. 3/1 looked very fair and he might be a nice horse to put in a small stakes double for those of you playing Windsors tricky Monday night cards.

As for the Derby, can we see past Camelot?

2 Beautifully bred fillies making their debuts in the 7.10 at Windsor tonight:

EMIRATES QUEEN - a Street Cry half-sister to G1 winner and young sire sensation DUBAWI

IRISH HISTORY - very closely related to G2 winner, G1 placed ECHO OF LIGHT

Luca Cumani said he thought an awful lot of EMIRATES QUEEN in his recent Racing Post stable tour, so you'd have to think that the 6/1 currently available could be a good bet.

Toppy, I made a comment re the Derby on the entries thread earlier this afternoon. I think there was a race at Newmarket on Saturday which, because of the exploits of the exceptional Frankel, may have been overlooked. Think a couple of decent each-way shouts, for Epsom, could emerge from the race.

I did note the Cumani runner Princess and the price could look huge afterwards. I just have a bit of a problem with him liking to give his first time runners a gallop in a field rather than a race. This said if she is as good as he hopes and her breeding points to then could still be able to win a class five maiden doing no more than a bit of work. I will watch with interest.

In simple terms no, imo the next best if Bonfire, but on last weeks performance he has still got abit to do on Camelot. Last year the stables superstar was SYT (who did not really live up to the hype- came close but not quite) but this year they have one in Camelot- who will live up the hype and will in the derby!
