ADILI 2.00 Redcar 9-1 now handicapped and upped three furlongs in trip.

Morning, all. Can I first say how touched I am by Redcar racecourse naming a series of races after me. Although, to be fair, I would have thought Listed or Group heats more appropriate.

Anyway, on a dull day, and in an effort ‘to turn those frowns upside down’, I’ll nominate:

Oldjoesaid (4.00 Redcar) – my regular readers will all know that this is one of my all time favourite horses of all time. Today he makes his seasonal bow and also has his first run under the care of old boy Midgeley. Oldjoesaid is a 5 time winner and a former top notcher (rated as highly as 107 when with Henry Candy – my second fave trainer, incidentally, with the Christian name Henry and surname beginning with ‘C’) but has dropped down the grades since, as age has caught up with him, and today he plys his trade in lowly selling company. At his best would give this lot a half mile start and still beat them and I’m full of hope that old boy Midgley, and new surroundings, can rejuvenate Oldjoesaid and we see a renaissance this afternoon. Has a bit to do on official marks but being a sentimental fool I think Oldjoesaid can defy his mark.

Martial Law (7.30 Towcester) – my regular readers were cheering at the top of their voices last Wednesday when this one was five lengths clear of his field, having put his rivals to the sword, approaching the last. However, the 5/1 vouchers that we held quickly turned to dust as catastrophically, and I do mean catastrophically, the old boy then bally fell. Off the same mark today (106) Martial Law should oblige with ease and although we won’t land the same sort of ‘coup’ as we would have done last week at least loses should be returned.

Good luck, one. Good luck, all.

Morning all - wow what an afternoon yesterday for the footy. Great day for me as a Liverpool supporter (not cos they lost) , but last August had £50 on Utd to win the prem at 7/4 so at 85 mins yesterday stood to collect £137.50 - so as City were 2-1 down and plus the fact I hate Utd and bacon face my mate said lay some of it off in case city won -so I rang 365 and threw a tenner on at 12/1 - and what happens city win 3-2 , so I had the pleasure of Bacon face losing the title with 90 secs to go and winning £120 in the last few minutes of the game - and one of my best mates is a QPR supporter so glad they stayed up for his sake !!! What a Sunday !!!

Morning all... Well its a morning after the night before feeling for me today... Landed a triple home run in the golf, Kuuuuccccchhhh...!!! plus getting the extras with 2 places...<ok> And what can we saw about the football...<yikes> That finish to the Prem was awesome, depending on which side of the fence you were looking, but it dosnt come more exciting than that...!!!

Unless, that is, your a Liverpool fan like me and never saw one goal flash all blinking day on Sky... Not even worth a mention on the final day of the season... Oh how the mighty have fallen...

Havnt even looked at the racing cards yet as im still reading up about the days play yesterday, but will hopefully find something...<cheers>

After a weekend that saw Williams win an F1 race, Man Utd get upset by injury time goals and a dog winning a talent show, I have decided that all the planets must be in a line or something and betting is certainly not the way to go.

Well if it was her she is keeping very tight lipped.

She did talk about managing a football team once but, to be honest, she just enjoys blowing things out of all proportion.

Cor blimey, Oldjoesaid now a non-runner. Am hiding my disappointment stoically and would suggest that everyone else adopts a similar plan.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

If Alex Mac gets our job I will personally pull Jeremy Peace's knackers off.

There would be a riot though mate, seriously. Gus Poyet is the one to keep your eye on.

I would love to hear the opinions of the great and the good from this forum on the ride given to Aquarian Spirit in the 2.30 at Redcar today. I am not going to prejudice anyones views but would love to hear what you have to say!
