Putting this up early as its one I have been waiting for.
NEMO SPIRIT 2.50 Plumpton 10-1 has been amateur ridden on his last two starts and to say that he has been given poor rides is an understatement. Last time out he was allowed to almost tail off, charted an extraordinarily wide course the whole way round and finished with a decent rattle albeit with no assistant from his inept pilot.
He has some decent flat form to his name but hasnt been placed very well in choices of races over hurdles. Tomorrow's two miles is however ideal.
Tom Cannon takes the ride tomorrow knocking another handy three pounds off his burden and I am amazed that the handicapper has seen fit to drop him an extra two. Dont take my word for it, watch the grey geldings last run and make your own minds up. I'm on already!

Tough little race that Stick. I remember the ridiculous ride Nemo Spirit was given LTO and the booking of Cannon (2-2 for the yard) clearly means they'll be trying tomorrow. Torrential Raine is a horse I think is on a fair mark and he stayed on nicely on his handicap debut after being in trouble from quite a way out (more Home Run form for you!) but I think he's going to be better over further. The fascinating contender in the field for me is Kastani Beach. Showed very little under rules (I'll watch back some of his races later on to make sure) for A K Wyse but on his sole start for David Harry Kelly in a P2P he readily disposed of Tipsy Gypsy (making his debut that day) who has since won his only subsequent start in a point very easily and was subsequently picked up for £95k back in November. Funnily enough he makes his rules debut for Vaughan at Catterick tomorrow. Kastani Beach was subsequently picked up for £10k and this will be his handicap debut on his first start for Seamus Mullins and a mark of 95 could easily be within his grasp judged on his Point success.

Also Lord Of The Dunes could easily be chucked in on his handicap debut with a first time tongue tie applied.

I have had a saver on Torrential Raine at 14's ROTO. Strikes me that those at the top of the handicapper are overated!

Too tricky a contest for me. May have a few small bets on tricasts tomorrow. Good luck Stick.

Rior is going to win this race.

You can take that to the bank.

Had a little Canadian on 3 of the McCain / Maguire runners at Carlisle (Abbey Storm, Trend Is My Friend & Mount Hope) plus 2 Henderson / McCoy entries from Plumpton (Definite Ruby & Malt Master).

Won't make me rich but adds a little interest to what will likely be a slow day in the office.

    Best of luck everyone <ok>

The Premier League really don't help English clubs in Europe do they? Making Man Utd play today ahead of their huge clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday, where Madrid played yesterday and get an extra days rest. Even worse, Liverpool must play West Brom on Monday night ahead of a trip to St Petersburg for a Thursday afternoon game. You couldn't have planned it worse <doh>

Bellends is a term that springs to mind when it comes to the FA.

    Pathetic scheduling as ever.

It's only just over a 2hr flight to Madrid and they have 72 hrs before the game...I don't think thats too unreasonable.

I do take your point about Liverpool though.

Ive been tracking this one for a while and his last effort at Catterick 10 days ago over tomorrows course and distance did not go unnoticed. He ran really well for a long way before finally being headed but rallying again towards the finish. Tomorrow running of the same mark i feel there is a little bit of value to be had with Diamond Frontier in the 4.10 at Catterick 8/1 EW i will be investing and expect the Sadlers Wells gelding to go close.

6.00 Wolverhampton Dashwood 9/2 looks like a right old plot. Won off a mark of 74 for Giles Bravery wearing a tongue tie back in August 2011. Has had 5 starts for Anthony Carson where he's been well beaten on every occasion but his mark has plummeted all the way down to 60. Having never worn a tongue tie for his current stable, its re-application and the drop into the basement level 0-60 handicap are clearly no coincidence and Graham Lee is most certainly an eye-catching booking. Not at all surprised to see the money is down for this one. That said, they could have found a lot easier races for him than this one as it looks a pretty strong race for the grade.

How long has G Lee been back? Crowley and Kirby have some competition again.

Someone probably mentioned it last week but seen in the Times today that Grumeti misses the festival.
