Racing today is from Lingfield, Wolverhampton, Chepstow, Catterick, Dundalk, and Meydan.

Fancy just one, Great Gusto in the 14:50 at Chepstow. Should relish this real test of stamina.

    GL to all today!

One for me todayin the 3:25 at Chepstow - Mark The Brook 5/1.

Last run for new trainer in December after 677 days off the track. Pulled up looks like needed that run. Dropped 7lb and down in class tomorrow. Likes Chepstow having run there 4 times and never been out of the top 2. Going ok as won on heavy. To me it could be a plot. I maybe wrong but a good bet for me.

Good luck to all with your bets.

No 'real' bets today but the free bet race is the 2.10 and I am lucky enough to have a go at it.

I like the Ferdy Murphy trained Lord Villez, who currently trades at 11/1. It is an interesting race with plenty of runners who are in good form and have course and/or distance form, yet I have gone for one who looks like he needs further and hasn't been running well on the form figures.

However, Lord Villez has form over the shorter trips from his hurdling days, and I think there are plenty of positives for him today, including the course and how the race is likely to be run. He should be suited to the undulating nature and the courses sharp turns, as he isn't the biggest individual. He also comes from a yard who are in great form, having three winners in recent days, and he also now has the assistance of G Lee from the saddle, which is a big positive as he takes over from an inexperienced 7lb claimer.

The race should be run at a true gallop and if it is I can see him doing strong work in the latter stages, and I can see him outrunning his market position and winning the race.

    Here is hoping.

Fairly uninspiring stuff today and one of my golden betting rules is never back anything at Chepstow on heavy. One I am keen on at Catterick is Realmont in the 1.35 - should have come on a bundle for his comeback race and can start showing some of the undoubted ability which saw him finish so close to Long Run in France.

    1.35 Catterick Realmont (NAP)

Best of luck to all who dabble today.

Morning guys I'm going for STAR GALAXY 4.0 Chepstow to follow up his success from last friday where he won with still plenty of improvement IMO 15/8 is good value and I will be having a good bet. Good luck if you play

Just for those who didn't read the end of yesterdays thread.

VC (VictorBet or whatever crap they wish to be called) are offering £25 free bet bank if you bet £25 on the VC chase. Worth a look if they are top price on your selection.

Morning all - two for me today/

    1.35 Catterick - Realmont.
Returned from a long absence to run respectively at Ffos Las on Boxing Day, not knocked about and that would have been a tough stamina sapping comeback given the ground that day.
With 8 runners in this and a price tag around 4s I'll be playing this one each way - beware the non runner though, just the bare 8 declared, any NR and the place bet goes

    2.20 Chepstow - Jump City.
Ran very well against the highly regarded Darlan last week, obviously the winner would appear to have plenty in the tank but the second pulled well clear of the field who included a double bumper winner of Philip Hobbs.
Nichols clearly thinks the ground won't be against the horse and another at around 4s that is excellent each way value as long as the 8 all go.

    Good luck

Noticed that too mate. I only play small stakes during the week for interest so hardly noticeable really. I prefer to bet on the higher quality fayre at the weekends <ok>
