14.30 York- Harris Tweed 4/1 (NAP) He can follow up on his striking seasonal debut at Newbury by winning this G2 race. Trainer William Haggas has always thought quite a bit of him but is no longer the star of the stable with Beat It emerging as a young upcoming talent - The trainer has every right to think the world of him (as do i - as many of you are aware ) he has only finished out of the frame in four of his 15 starts. Formely trainer by Sir Mark Prescott he seemingly took his game to the next level at Newbury last month, though, when he claimed the John Porter by five lengths. Although it is fair comment to suggest Harris Tweed has not quite proven his stamina for two miles - he faded badly at the last season's Lonsdale on the Knavesmire - a mile and three-quarters looks his ideal trip and with ground as it is up north it looks perfect form him at this stage of the game. He is well known for appreciating a bit of dig in the ground, so connections will be buoyed by the wet forecast ahead of this Group Two, which has imo weakened when Goldophin took out the only threat to him Opinion Poll
Put this one up a while back on fugees before it had made the racecourse as one to follow. Very well regarded in the yard and could be a surprise package at a nice price tomorrow. Dreaming of rubies. 3.35. York. 12/1 freely available.
9/4 is a skinny price to take about a horse in a York handicap and I am sure most on here will want to look elsewhere. However the nature of TIOMAN PEARL's Windsor win was so emphatic that a follow up looks a near certainty.Neil Callan was on board that day and was easing down full 1/2 furlong from the finish, no mean feat in a 5f sprint handicap. Off 69 that day, races off 75 tomorrow and due to go up 12lb in future handicaps. I cant see anything stopping him tomorrow. TIOMAN PEARL 3.35 York 9/4
Stick, lmao mate!! Don't worry, I have to admit dear old Ruby is gonna have her work cut out tomorrow with your selection looking very well handicapped to say the least!! But as I mentioned, she is very well thought of in the yard and is apparnetley the apple of Bens eye. I think the 6f she won over at Wolverhampton was stretching her, but wouldn't be surprised if she went from the front as she is supposedley very speedy. The booking of Billy Buick seems significant too. I've heard nothing from the bloke who gave me this to follow....but might be cheeky and bell him tomorrow morning!!! If I hear anything I'll post it up here asap. Good luck with your selection nonetheless!!!
Got a text on Tuesday night: Alright folks. Got a tip for a horse running at aintree on Friday night 6:30 this week. It's called Mr Syntax. It's gonna be decent odds and well worth an each way punt according to its owne It was from my mate but don't know the origins of the source. Maybe the ow.er
Ignore Stick Wooly he is talking ****e Noble Mission will be above evens himself - Thought Worthy is held in high regard by John Gosden he said so himself on ch4 racing today and Noble Mission has the penalty to carry he could go off 2nd fav.
A fantastic days racing, York, Newbury and a side dish of Newmarket. York 3.00 Way too Hot 13-2 Best bet of the day, fully expecting a nice win. Newbury 4.20 Samminder 6-1 Got no run behind Gusto and Burwazz at kempton. That was a good race and he looked as if he would have won well given a run. Good luck all
A few picks for today and hope for similar results as yesterday (Backed Judge N Jury, Fury, and Izzi Top) YORK 14:00 Deauville Flyer @ 8/1 (GP) Loves the course and trip and should be thereabouts YORK 14:30 Times Up @ 11/2 (GP) Could be still improving and quickish ground is the key. Won a Listed race over C&D at this meeting last year. YORK15:35 Bogini @ 12/1 (GP) If this horse reproduces it's Irish form then it potentially could be laughing at the handicap off a mark of just 72 NEWMARKET 15:55 Qaraaba @ 15/2 (GP) Progressive horse, who could still be improving. Fast ground suits and has beaten some horses who have gone on to win recently YORK 16:10 Maverik @ 16/1 (GP) Bit of a chancey one this but on some runs there is a possibility for improvement with the step up in trip. AINTREE 19:05 Torphichen @ 12/1 (GP) Well handicapped on old Irish hurdles form. Has a chance in this provided the ground remains on the soft side of good. Good Luck All
Will try get write ups done in the morning 3.55 Newmarket Qaraaba 8/1 4.10 York The Mellor Fella 25/1 8.25 Newcastle Chiswick Bey 16/1 & Eastern Hills 11/1 There will be another two tomorrow which I am expecting drift so I'll post them up when that happens.
I have had a little e/w punt on him for the derby @ 33/1 will be my only bet on it! Will probably leave the double tomorrow; Just leave the betting front in a whole tomorrow- sit back and enojoy the frankel show
The bookies seem to be pricing up the first at York as if there are no each way bets allowed and allowing all prices other than the worthy Fav. York 1.30 Ceiling Kitie 22-1 Get on quick...........
That is a very strange market they have priced up Nass, they are treating the Fav as if it's Frankel and pricing as though they will not have to pay each-way the 2nd or 3rd. I think the Fav will win as it should but i am damn sure something is going to get placed and the each way return of whatever it is will most likely be about 10 times that of the winning fav at least.
The jolly won really well on both runs but this field is a little bit better than what she has faced as of yet. She probably should be odds on, but not to the degree she is.
Morning chaps... I hope we are all well for a friday... I havnt checked any of the cards yet but reading the forums post already finding owt today with a bit of value seems to be a hard task...!!! El Bandito's are at it again... Masks at the ready, swords at the ready and slash them prices down... Back in a bit with all the ones you want to avoid...
