Bonfire a NR in the Dee Stakes. The weather continues to do its level best to ruin the start of the flat season. I hope it eases a little before York next week.

I am waving Sir Barney's 'No Bet Banner' again today. <cheers>

Morning all... Brighter skys out side but that dosnt stop the rain from coming... What with all the cards on show for today there must be something out there for us to get in to... Fingers crossed, or darts at the ready, lets see if the forum can have a better day after the carnage of Chester...

    Back in a bit...<ok>

2.55 MarRas - Herecomesthetruth - 33/1 into 10/1 and is still shortening... Anybody know or heard owt of this runner... He has a terrible looking race history and usually PU's than completes a race...

Something going on here me thinks...:bandit:

I don't think i'm going to back another horse until this ground goes the way it is supposed to be at this time of year, it's making a mockery of good horses and punters alike, so hard to go by the form, it's nearly best to just keep backing the outsiders, it's almost a role reversal in alot of races.

Best of luck to everyone betting.

Hi guys I am new to posting on here (well in the horse racing board) I have visited regulary and have had some good winners from some of you.

I hope you don't mind me joining in and offering my opinion for what its worth (probably peanuts).

    Chester placepot today:
    1.Kyllachy Star
    2. Astrology
    3. Fav
    4. Ballesteros
    5. April Fool
    6. Lady Loch

After putting this bet on I received a text off a friend who is normally ok with his tips telling me to do Powerful Wind in the 3.05 he recommended each way at 16's but I never bet each way unless its the GN so I have had £10 on it to win.

    Hope your all ok.

    Afternoon all.

Was just coming on to tip up and back Herecomesthetruth until I looked at Reds post. Don't think I will bother now as I was expecting 40/1. Ran seriously well for a very long way at Aintree and has dropped a further 7lbs. Looks a very well handicapped horse now off 135. NO BET at 10s though.

Berlin beer is all crap red - my theory is it's due to the extremely hard water prevelant in this area. Not good for beer making. I find you can't go far wrong with most other German beers though - Becks, Warsteiner, Krombacher, Bitburger ................... there's literally hundreds of them. Especially down in Swanny's neck of the woods in Bavaria - small private breweries who knock out some of the most outrageously drinkable tipples you've ever tasted. As the great Paul Hogan once said: "Like an angel crying on your tongue" <cheers>
