Good morning, I think this double has an outstanding chance and pays just over 2/1: 3.45 So You Think 4/9 & 5.00 Shumoos 5/4 with William Hill - 3pts win double. Will post the rest of my selections later. Good luck all!

STB: Thanks for doing the DT! Just one small interest for me today, would not call it a nap though! 3.05 Ascot - Field Day (Backed this Cape Cross filly at 20's yesterday evening, but see 25/1 still available elsewhere - . Hoping for a decent run from this CD winner with Ryan Moore aboard). GL one and all!
Key thing today is to back with the right bookmaker in the Hunt Cup, as a few are still only paying first 4 places. My bets Oracle - I don't like Codemaster despite his very good performance LTO - Oracle looks overpriced at 7/1 EW. Dever Dream - think it will run a massive race and interesting to see those Qatar Bloodstock colours on another runner (Codemaster and also Frederick Engels both now wear them). 12/1 EW Twice Over - So You Think could easily hack up, but I don't like Rewilding or Planteur and Twice Over has the form in the book to suggest he is the main rival. 16/1 EW Bronze Prince & Fareer - The former is well touted on here and I backed it before the non runners at 25/1 EW (antepost price so no R4 if I got it right) so I am happy with him. Fareer owes me one, well Mr Hill does, and it could be a very interesting race for him. He likes the course 25/1 EW Shumoos - if the draw was better I would be getting stuck in. Medium dabble at 11/8 last night with Ladbrokes. At the end I might be breaking out into a modern tune about needing a dollar. Cape Dollar was highly touted, but has yet to fire, this could be the day. 16/1 EW. If any one of those wins (bar Shumoos) I will be happy!!
3.45 Prince Of Wales' Stakes - So You Think First two legs on my Canford Cliffs/Frankel/So You Think treble are up and it is now down to the Aussie monster to show everyone what he can do. The pace should be good, there are few horses to get in his way, the ground should be fine, so everyhting is set fair for a superstar performance. I really believe that this horse is exceptional and am confident that he will prove what a good horse he is this afternoon. The opposition are decent but i think he is quite a bit better than that. If you aren't on already then lump on.
This has got to be the worst piece of information ever received: it won a maiden race last time in a common canter and makes its handicap debut in the Ripon 8:20 – Dickie’s Lad. As I do not back maiden race winners on handicap debut I am just passing this along.
QM, that one really impressed me it wasn't too far off the listed race on the same card which was ultra competitive (5 tenths off the time) and won by a 100+ rated sort carrying the same weight. I also note that timespeed figure is relatively high (90) for that run which confirms my first thoughts about it. If I am right I think he has a few pounds on the handicapper but the worry is that Amazing Amory is also well handicapped after winning a much more competitive maiden last time out.
I think I am going to lose today. I had three horses picked out when I went down to the bookies at lunch. I managed to talk myself out of backing the first one – Strong Suit in the Jersey Stakes – so now that it has won, the one that I have backed later will surely not go in. Will Strong Suit be back next year to try and emulate Canford Cliffs’ Royal Ascot hat-trick? I knew that the horses representing the 2000 Guineas, the Poule d’Essai des Poulains and the Irish 2000 Guineas would not be winning. The form of all three of those races looks very suspect this year.
Congratulations SimplyTheBlues. I was going to say what price an 11/1 shot winning the third, but... I saved my money there as I was interested in Seta until I saw the price. Clearly she was not a Group 1 filly in a Group 2 race. On collateral form she is not even a Group 2 filly in a Group 2 race.
Hope u backed it. Both dance dance and eton forever placed as most bookies paid 5 places. Very good day and still 3 to go.
Had a terrible day, up until the last...Played bit too much of yesterdays winnings up on hyperbole O'Brien's 'monsters from down under' ...... Then like most people thought Shumoos would oblige, given the form boost received yesterday... Then after that I had a good old look through the last, knew the presence of the Queens horse would create a bit of value elsewhere, so piled a few quid on Rhythm of Light and cue Recouped most of the damage done thankfully on the day so still well up from yesterday's double. Very tough day for punters.... Well done STB and all winners, especially on Lolly for Dolly- I followed her last few times but didn't have strong view on the race myself.
some big price winners today, lolly for dolly was good picked her out a couple of days ago; tomorrow looks hard some good races!
For those who followed and have faith in my tips: Over 30+ points! Not for the first time either. That's over £300 if you bet £10 per point like myself... £3000+ if you bet £100 per point... £30,000+ if you bet £1000 per point... I'm a couple of G's up. Think I will take the missus on a nice break after Ascot.
