With just Leicester and Southwell to throw cash at, there should be plenty of time for homework. LEICESTER. 13:10 Tuscan Gold. RV. 15:10 Baile Anrai. cyc. WON 11-8. 15:40 Swiss Art. Oddy. SOUTHWELL. Life sucks, and then you die. Jacob Black. Baile Anrai seems to have some ability. He's been placed G2 company over the hurdles. it seems that connections have an opinion of the horse as he was entered in G2 Novice Steeple at his first attempt over the big stuff. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start in the red. Hendo won this race last year and looks to have a chance again here with Larks Lad who unshipped his rider last time, when looking a chance. But gotta stick with the top one Baile Anrai. I thought Hidden NR is value in the first at Leicester. He ran a nice second in testing ground at Bangor last up. Was well beaten by the winner, but seemed to drop the bit mid race before working back into it. Went to the line well. 20-1 on Billy Hill at the moment. Could run into a place. Kazlian (won 13-8) looks the goods though. Hidden EW.NR.
Quick look, my mates Fearless poet out , decent EW chance but it is fav, the two of Omearas will go close and Rich Macs mount at Leicester Call it on should place so i will have a small EW accumulator and a small EW Lucky, mainly for interest Stay Frosty
Morning all. Was huge money around last night for Mujamead in the 3.40 at Leicester. 14s into 4s. Managed to just get an e/w price so fingers crossed. Have backed the following in singles and cheeky doubles / trebles. 12.55 Spacecraft 1.25 Magic Haze 3.40 Mujamead 3.55 Horatio Carter
I quite like the Fahey filly in the 3yo sprint. I think the jolly might get taken on for the lead and the Fahey filly can finish strongly to pick these all up.
Morning to the forum faithful. Hope all is well. Nothing for me today as the racing is pretty drab. Good luck though if you do strike an old wager. Best wishes to Don’t Push It by the way. Hope you have a good retirement, old boy.
Would the miler Bitaphon have the legs to pick them up? It's a really interesting race. There are 4 or 5 in with a chance of rolling the top weight.
Cyc, problem that one has (and the favourite) is that if they are going to sit prominent they might be 3 or 4 wide on the turn for home. If Bitaphon can be up with the pace turning in I think the favourite will struggle to beat it home. Sunny Side Up for me is a little more versatile and has a little bit better of the draw.
Having a little play at Leicester today only small stakes though: 1.10 - I like Oriental Cat and Status Symbol - Oriental Cat is my selection - has been pulled up both starts to date but he started off in a grade 1 and he was a fair performer on the flat so there must be ability in him somewhere I think 25/1 is a huge price. Status Symbol - Again fair performer on the flat who makes his hurdle debut today having run in a couple of bumpers in 2010. E/W Singles and R/F 1.40 - I have this between Morentio and Edgebury so I'll probably just go with the reverse forecast 2.10 - Westlin Winds - Should win this fairly comfortably 2.40 - Ajzal and Kenaleck - Slight preference for Kenaleck who had some fair form in Ireland over hurdles before going pointing and I think he should have enough to win this on his first start for Vaughan 3.10 - Baile Anrai - Can't see him losing 3.40 - Playing with fire - Unbeaten at Leicester looks to me like a confidence boosting run as he's been chasing and fell LTO so what better than to take him back to his favourite course!!!
In the 3.40 at Leicester I like the looks of Swiss Art (NAP). This one's owner, Miss Daisy Hitchens, appears to be a fanciful sort, having moved the horse through 4 different trainers in the last couple of months, finally ending up at Brian Barr's yard. The horse won a very similar contest to this one at the beginning of December last year (then trained by Nick Mitchell, his one and only run for that trainer - what did he do to upset Miss Daisy??) off a mark of 100 with Daryl Jacob on board and was upped 8lbs for his next race (and first for Brian Barr) over a furlong further on better ground at Taunton with young 7lb claimer Gavin Sheehan doing the steering. Without wanting to sound disparaging, young Mr Sheehan doesn't frequent the winners enclosure too often (once in 22 rides this season) and today the very talented Brendan Powell takes over, and I think he is much better value for his 5lbs. Running off an official mark of 105, and with Brendan's 5 taken off, Swiss Art runs off an adjusted rating of 100 today and, back at 2 miles with more juice back in the ground, Miss Daisy could be driving home a happy gal tonight.
SMALL stakes only EW L15 & EW Accumulator only waged £10 in total interest only whilst im saving lifes !!!!!!! Fearless Poet 7/2 12:55 Swell Brunello 7/2 13.25 Swell Horatio Carter9/2 15:55 Swell Call It On 7/2 14:40 Lei Catterick Thursday if anybody wants Tickets
What about that Terry Henry for the Arse last night then? Also I noticed the "big" match tonight - Carling Cup semi-final - Crystal Palace v Cardiff they really should scrap that thing - there's far too much footy anyway
Early march Don, but we have some preseason friendlies. Bris play NQ on or about 4 Feb. Cats has introduced me to Wakey. Gunna be a big year for the Cats. Well better than last season.
