I'm not really the type of person who likes tipping odds on shot but this one I will be very surprised if it losses. Could of won by 20 Lengths if it wanted to. I tipped this last time and escapes the handicapper. Due to go up 11lbs... 4.45 Warwick Transfer @ 2/3 with Skybet or find the best price you can - 3pts win (personally do more if you want). Will post some more selections later. You heard it here first.
Will do, Sir! He's getting long in the tooth, like the writer, but cannot desert Kasbah Bliss today, so will have a nostalgic e/w on the old boy. He'll still be going when others have cried enough. The GC was probably a stronger race last year too? GL today everyone, and well done so far STB, great stuff!
P.S. Why are PP so "chintzy" with their pre-race odds? Like them a lot, but do get fed-up with them in this respect.................
Not a chance that I would be backing a 51 rated horse in a handicap at 8/13, especially after only 7 days. He is due to go up 11lbs but he is still a poor horse in a poor race. I don't see them going any pace today and that might also not suit over this slightly shorter trip. He should win but I will leave it to you!! My Ascot bets - Got a great feeling about this, I have spent hours with the highlighters and I came up with - 2.30 Silverheels - The state of play 3.05 Zain Al Boldan - I thought she ran an ok race in the Oaks and I think this is more her level. She shouldn't be 9/1 in my opinion 3.45 Manighar - as mentioned on Sticks thread, I reall fancy this boy to run a big race. 4.25 - This is the one, we will finally get to see the jockeys using their loaf and staying at their draw and I think those drawn low are going to be at an advantage with the pace. Chain Lightning will appreciate any rain and has the form in the book. 16/1 5.00 - I think you need to have a low draw here, you need to be one or two from the rail and I think of those drawn low Auld Burns is very interesting. Spencer to deliver him late in the play. 25/1 5.35 - Again a low draw would be advantageous but the most interesting horses are all likely to come off the pace (which will suit as we have pace in the race) and the one I like is Danadana. He needs a trip, he needs a fast pace and I expect to see him flashing home in the final furlong. 14/1 Wide open card and one winner would be nice.
Small stakes e/w Lucky 15 today - still licking my wounds from yesterday: 2.30 Everyday Dave 3.05 Zain AL Boldan 3.45 Duncan (yes, I know Buick is riding him) 5.00 Lajooj Best of luck to everyone.
Morning all 2 each way bets for me today Blue Bajan in the gold cup O'merra late suplement and i think it will place at least Micka Maka in the last sneaks in as a fly weight, maybe out of his class but always trying and hanagan up top should be in the mix 25s Each way cross and double Nap Blue Bajan Each Way Stay Frosty
Yesterday was quite bad but ended up ok with last winner of day. From the five horse I've backed at Royal Ascot only two have lost (creditable defeats and I think others may also have done them- Shumoos and SYT). My 2 bets done today are 15.05 Banimpire. J Bolgers horses flying, though Rumh is live danger 10/3 Bet365 15.45 Manighar. Hoping for some more rain, favourite dubious stayer, open race. 14/1 e/w Bet365 Liked the look of Pymans Theory in first but not invested and in the 5.35 Brown Panther. May invest on this one, dependent on earlier bets. Good luck

Zain Al Boldan did not handle the track at Epsom, so you can draw a line through that run, but the record of Oaks also-rans in the Ribblesdale is woeful so I would not be getting involved. I think this may come too soon for Banimpire and I might look at Sir Henry’s forgotten Arizona Jewel. Duncan has won two Group 2s by making all the running. With the distance a complete unknown, it is hard to see William Buick making as much use of him and the horse might not like a change of tactics. This year’s Gold Cup does appear to lack quality except the favourite (unknown at trip) so it could be anybody’s race, especially with the rain falling. Geordieland has been placed behind Yeats before but two years off the track is a big negative. I am going to wait until lunchtime at the bookies. If the rain has changed the ground markedly, my money will be staying in my pocket for the rest of the meeting.
What a lovely interview with the trainer and jockey of Blue Bajan. Sometimes dreams do come true. I think Fame And Glory is the one to beat, but it would be great to see the little guys get a win.
I've come to the conclusion that I haven't got a clue about the Gold Cup but one of Fame and Glory and Duncan for me.
