Good afternoon everyone. Only concentrated on Ascot today:

    3.05 Calvados Blues 16/1 1pt EW

3.45 Bewitched 7/2 - 3pts EW (look for bookmakers who are offering 1/3 the odds for EW - most major bookies offering 1/3)

    3.45 Hooray 11/1 - 2pts EW

    5.00 Fox Hunt 20/1 - 2pts EW

    Good luck all!

After my first race win today (based on pedigree) I thought I would nominate some tomorrow.

2.30 Telwaar - Haafhd won on soft, half brother won on soft (and another won at Southwell) and I think its got stamina in abundance.

3.05 Poet - Pivotal a soft ground influence, lots of soft ground form and stays very well. Overpriced.

3.45 Bewitched - NAP - ground looks absolutely ideal, form on soft likes stiff trip and she has form in the book.

4.25 Burning Thread - Captain Rio, soft ground influence, listed winner who should enjoy this ground. Should be spot on for the race and drawn middle. 50/1

5.00 Ile De Re - Linamix is a soft ground influence, Head doesn't send across no hopers and masses of soft ground form. 20/1

5.35 Deutschland - 5th best on handicap, but lots of soft/heavy ground form. Running in good races over obstacles and could be staying on when everything else has fallen into a hole. Could end up being as fast as the Eider Chase!! [Augh]

There are some good graded races (jumps) from Auteuil today with Mullins and Pipe sending horses over.
1.30 Baboudal looks to have the better of Twinlight in this one
2.40 Pistolet Rouge is the likely winner
3.15 Grands Crus will take all the beating

6.00 Red Mischief - This course is one that we know he likes, and that alone makes him interesting. However, this son of Red Clubs (won on gd-sft and also raced on softer) interests me more now that he gets soft ground, he is the half brother of Guto who won on such soft surfaces.

6.30 But Beautiful - Pivotal Pivotal Pivotal, and he is pivotal in the selection process here. Pivotal nick line with Saddler's Wells mares produced 7 horses who have good form (5 winners) on softer than good ground, including a plethora of really talented sorts such as Emerald Commander, Nationalism and yesterdays soft ground Coronation Stakes winner Immortal Verse. This one drops in trip which looks to suit and it has a good draw. 8/1 is good value.

7.00 Escape To Glory - I have this one down as being one to follow. Drawn well it should be able to attack early and use the stamina shown on debut. Weak race too. Firebeam is drawn worst of all.

    2;30-Maybe 5/4

She won her Maiden at Naas very easily despite no market support which suggests she caught the Coolmore boys totally by Surprise. She had Teolane back in 4th that day and it was on quick ground but being by Galileo she should handle this easier ground. The step up to 7f should suit also being closely related to the Deby Winner Dr.Devious and she will go very close here.

    3:05-Await The Dawn-8/11

Quite simple a G1 horse in waiting has a fantastic strike rate winning 4 of his 5 starts including the last day in a G3 at Chester. Finally gets stepped up to 1m4f here and should take a lot of beating,The only concern i have is the ground as he is American Bred but he won his maiden on soft so im prepared to take the chance.

    3;45-Bewitched-6/1

A filly who always travels very strongly through her races and had a fantastic season last year winning 5 times including a G3 over C+D.Has started this season in much the same fashion winning a G3 at Leopardstown on her Reappearance. She has form on soft ground and will be punted off the boards today so get on early.

    4:25-Macs Power-10/1 E/W

Has been very progressive since being dropped down to 6f,Scoring twice last Autumn and was arguably his best piece of form the last day when finishing like a train at Newbury to get denied by a short head. That run should have put him spot on and can take this here.

    5:00-Modun-7/2

Kings Best Colt so should enjoy this easy ground and showed he was a horse with romise when winning a Folkestone Maiden at the backend of last season and made a impressive seasonal reappearance when beating a strong field at Newbury in April.Group winner in waiting and should take this handicap with ease.

Self Centred 2.30 Ascot ew (Nap)

Beaten under 6l by Samitar at Newmarket on debut, started slowly, behind, ridden over 2f out, headway over 1f out, stayed on same pace final furlong. Samitar won the Albany Stakes yesterday. Selected at 25/1 yesterday, 20s still available.

Backed a few today - haven't we all? - but I really like the look of Not Till Monday in the last at Ascot. Won his alst 2 races all be it over 2 miles but has also won a few on heavy and soft so the ground won't be a problem. Took 25s last night but he's being backed a bit.

Maybe in the opener at Ascot - with a small e.w saver on Goldoni who shaped well on debut

I don't really know why they're going on about how big an upset the Jubilee was. At the end of the day the ground meant there was always a chance of a big priced winner. Cracking run by Monsieur Chevalier there though.

Sorry, those tables went on the wrong thread. STB amassed a staggering £54k+ to walk away with the Betting Bank Competition and Cyclonic won the Points based Comps again. Congrats to both.
I can list out the numerous winners if required but for now here are the most significant bets that earned STB a most deserving win in the Betting Competition:

    Manassas £1,000.00 ew Won 14/1 <cracker>
    Prohibit £25.00 ew Won 16/1 <cracker>
Lolly For Dolly £300.00 ew Won 11/1 <cracker>
    Pisco Sour £250.00 ew Won 20/1 <cracker>
    Fox Hunt £2,000.00 ew Won 20/1 <cracker>

Odds when bet advised, otherwise SP
