Racing today comes from, Newmarket, Doncaster, Goodwood, Hexham, Thirsk, Uttoxeter, and Dundalk.

The race of the day comes from Newmarket where the G1 2000 Guineas takes place. Many are simpling calling a Frankel benefit. He certainly looks the goods, but as an odds on shot in such a class field, he's really no value to me. I'd normally look at another race to select a nap, but it's such a big race, it would seem a shame to not take a crack at it. I was mightly impressed by the efforts of Haggis trained Fury. He flogged a field of 27 last time out in the Tattersalls Millions as a 2 year old. He's been off the scene for 210 days, but should be primed for today. At 16-1, he seems good each way value. So it's the wonderfully named Fury for mine. Pity that it looks as though those other than Frankel, will be fighting for second place.

    Newmarket. Firm to good.
    2.00. GREEN DESTINY. Ron. <cracker> WON 13-2. <cracker>
    2.30. LAHEEB. Utter. Unplaced.
3.10. FURY. Each way. cyc. Unplaced.

    Doncaster. Good to firm.

    Hexham. Good to firm.
    6.20. ANEYEFORANEYE. Jonathon. <cracker> WON 13-8 <cracker>
    8.30. MANNERED. Heisenburg. Unplaced.

    Thirsk. Good.

    Uttoxeter. Good to firm.

    Dundalk. N/A.

Ron has a nice comp running on Newmarket Festival. It's well worth a shot. The link is below.

Racing today comes from Newmarket, Salisbury, Hamilton Park, Gowran Park and Sligo.

Race of the day is of course the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. Unlike yesterdays male equivalent, the fillies race is wide open. When in doubt, back Godolphin. Each way Blue Bunting. There was blue bunting at the wedding I think. <laugh>

    Newmarket:
3.15. BLUE BUNTING Each Way. cyc.

    Salisbury.

    Hamilton.

    Gowran.

    Sligo.
