What would you prefer for Pompey's home?

  1. Move to a brand new stadium

  2. Revamp (90 deg rotation)

  3. A lick of paint

Given the following choices, which would you prefer for the future of Pompey's hoime?

    Move to a new stadium
Complete revamp of Fratton Park, along the 90 deg rotation plan
Just a lick of paint and a bit of a tidy-up, but basically leave it as it is.

  2. Devon, as FP is surrounded by houses, is it possible to rotate 90 degrees?

Are there any brownfield sites around the PO postcode that could be used for development and construction of a new ground? Afterall, we built ours on a brownfield site...

The artist's impression of the 90 degree flip job looks ok to me - unlike StLegoland, it DOES actually look like a Football Ground.

I hated all the euphoria about the 'rounded shoebox' down by the Warrior, or the other 'easy to get to' KwikFit job out near the Greyhound Track.

Stick to Fratton, PROPER easy to get to, loads of stagger-distance pubs, KFC/McDonalds/Subway AND 306 chipwagons - what more can the modern-day fan want. Besides, you can count on one hand the number of 'moved-away' clubs who don't secretly regret it.........

No 2 for me - there's something about a football ground tucked in among the houses - a community club in the community.

If you were to rotate the ground, isn't there some complication about who owns the car parks? Are they not controlled by a previous owner of the club who might very well want another chunk out of your club?

Ah, there lies the conundrum Channon. Has Mr Gaydamak still got his finger in the pie and how deep is it?
