A survey run by the Mirror asked fans of each club which current top flight sides they hate, and the results are: Table of most hated clubs -------------------------------------------------- Club | Average of percentages -------------------------------------------- Man Utd | 68 Chelsea | 65 Liverpool | 60 Man City | 53 Tottenham | 46 Arsenal | 41 Stoke | 41 Newcastle | 39 West Ham | 37 Aston Villa | 32 Sunderland | 30 Crystal Palace | 24 Leicester | 21 Everton | 21 West Brom | 21 Norwich | 18 Watford | 15 Swansea | 13 Southampton | 11 Bournemouth | 9 source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-most-hated-club-6229042 I only can refer to beautiful Marilyn Monroe hahaha :
What is there to hate about clubs like Palace and Villa?! Just placid, going nowhere average teams with players who are all quite nice. Liverpool though... Amusing to see them so high for a club that has no success!
Brummies on the whole are a decent bunch but certainly where I lived the scumbags were all Villa. Also they have a massive chip on their shoulder about the size of the club and always seem very bad winners when I've gone to Villa Park.
Ah ok I thought it was bcos of the club lol. I was going to say they're usually renowned for doing a lot in the community. But if it's their fans fair enough.
Villa fans do seem to think that they're a massive club because they won the European Cup 30+ years ago. If they're so massive why can't they fill their stadium?
People will despise the RS even they were 20th. They and their fans are just so moroninc and deluded.
Probably because kids there as elsewhere in the country do not want to support a "failing" team hence their preference to be seen wearing the kit of successful teams, namely Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Yeah you can't move for those Real Madrid shirts at The Bullring. Villa have a huge fanbase across the Midlands and as far north as Staffordshire.
I suppose what annoys a lot of fans is the fact that some people who have nothing to do with Manchester or London, prefer to support United or Chelsea at the expense of the local team. In my case it would be Southampton so I love it when United and Chelsea lose. As for hate I don't know. When you had Cantona and Ronaldo (two brilliant footballers) you were loveable but with Beckham you were detestable.
I bet they don't. Villa probably have 25000 season ticket holders, mostly living in the Midlands and particularly West Mids. Most of Birmingham and the surrounding towns support them. You go around a **** Birmingham suburb like Selly Oak or a posh nearby town like Lichfield and Villa is easily the most well represented team.
I was thinking of the hordes of holiday makers who go to Spain and bring back the famed "Barca" shirt. By the way I cheer any La Liga team that beats Barca and Real Madrid because those two teams have just about managed to scoop up much of the money from the TV deals leaving very little for anyone else.
I'm sure lots of people do. I've got various bits of tat from foreign football matches I've been to or countries I've visited. I'd still very much doubt that more people in the West Midlands own a Barca shirt than a Villa one. You certainly see a lot more Villa than anything else.
