Just had a quick browse on the Echo website (dunno why) and seen a article saying "Furious Saints Fans Hand Season Tickets Back" When I click on the link it asks me to subscribe can anybody tell me what this is about?
Don't know, but as it's the Echo... let me guess.... The Saints fans, probably number two people. They are probably whingers or got a gripe with the club anyway or pals of Nick Illingsworth. The echo are blowing the story out of all proportion as they always do. I'm sure its a riveting read from that bastian of the truth, the Echo.
Yeah I haven't seen any posts on here from angry fans regarding anything which is why I expressed an interest... maybe its cause we haven't signed anyone LOL
Apparently the dinlos returned their season ticket as they were "furious" they were charged £1 to park at the stadium. I presume they also refuse to shop in Southampton city centre to avoid paying for parking etc etc.
People are probably getting annoyed that they have forked out quite alot of monies for season tickets and the club have yet to get in any new players...
They couldn't have been too "furious" because in the picture, it's last season's tickets they're handing in. And I'm going to hand in my in my ticket from last season if we don't sign anyone soon. I'm "livid" about no transfer news, as I was telling the Echo only this morning.
They cannot be anything else other than last years ST's. They will not be issuing the new ones until after the 14th of July. So it was no more than a Publicity stunt then. Strange how the echo just happened to be there at that particular time. What the heck?????!!!!!
All very confusing maybe they asked them to pose with last years tickets as the new ones haven't been issued?
That means they either have already paid for there tickets and are idiots then for complaining when given the club there money already, Or they havent paid and the blokes thumb slipped off the 2010/11 on the ticket, never the less hes a idiot
£1 for parking and they returned it? - I'm surprised the people who have experienced a 72 % rise haven't!
The Echo allegedly colluding with people with an axe to grind to manipulate a non-story !?! Never. Next you lot will be accusing them of phone hacking.
The trouble is that if you boycott something you tend to miss the whole nuance of the problem. What is happening to our our once Supporter friendly club? It is worth discussing the fact, that since we have got into the Championship that supporters will automatically fill the Stadium, if they get messed about they won't, Supporters need to feel that that they are part of the Club that we fought so hard to keep from disaster, not to be taken for granted as a money making source.
