Dai - Everyone else

Evening everyone.

I've come to the conclusion there is no "real" solution to this "problem". I do not wish to ban Dai, as he is a fellow supporter of our great club and is entitled to his views. What he is not entitled to do is WUM and insult his fellow posters.

So, here is what I propose: Everyone that doesn't wish to see what Dai writes, please put him on your ignore list with immediate effect. I know this will not stop him derailing threads, but his comment is ignored by those that will normally bite. Once a moderator is online, if we think it breaks our house rules, it will be removed.



Dai: As above really. You are entitled to your opinion, nobody is denying you that, but the attemt to WUM all the time is not entitled. So, hopefully this above solution will please everybody.

 

Good try Ash but I suggest you look at Norways thread because he's just been on there having another go at Neveroff.

I don't subscribe to this idea I'm afraid because nothing works. That's no offence meant to you because I know you mean well.

Sorting out this Dai problem is one big Dailemma,and I don't envy you or your fellow mods.

However,I feel it incumbent to point out that one mans wum,is another mans banter,and the lines between the two have always been blurred.
Who is to say,categorically what is wum and what is banter?
I often find difficulty in deciding which is which.

With regards insults,they should be discouraged,regardless of who makes them. Serial insulters should be dealt with,banning if necessary.

Consistency and fairness is all I ask.

Just read the drivel

 

I regularly find myself with a canvas roof a long way from home. This forum USED to keep me up to date and in touch with the Mighty Swans as well as making me feel close to home, it used to help with the relative isolation my work regularly drops me into.

I visit Not606 to find out what my Mighty Swans are up to and to read the thoughts of my Jack family, whose opinions I dearly value. Lately though I find myself preferring to stare into the night sky, at distant galaxies or count craters on the moon. I feel closer to Swansea doing that than I do visiting not606 for an update on all thing Swans.

Appreciate my annoyance and disappointment when all I read; MOST OF THE FEKKIN TIME, revolves around a simple WUM, whith an obvious aim to destabilise OUR forum and to derail common debate through disrespect and insult.

I hate to say this Chico but you and your fellow mods are now as much a part of the problem as the wum is. Part of my disappointment stems from you continually sanctioning the wums through weak adjudication and lack of decisive action. I believe you (the mods) have 'copped out' and put a wum before the general state of the forum and more irritatingly, before the true posters hereon. Your failure to ban this wum has allowed him/her to KILL OUR FORUM, DEAD.

I want you to know why I'm leaving this forum, its because I'm sick of not reading anything about my Swans, I'm sick of reading a wums constant anti-Swansea bile, I'm sick of the insults and disrespect the wum regularly displays towards my fellow Jacks and I'm sick of you mods allowing him to do it with impunity. (A ban for a couple of days is a joke)

Before I go, some football related stuff I heard:

We're in Europe next year as you know and so need to firm up and add to our squad. To that end Laudrups agent has sent ML a shortlist of 15 players worthy of the Swans shirt. We wont sign 15 of course but I bet we get 6/7 out of it.

Banning one of our own permanantly is out of the question in my opinion. His comments are moderated when we are online and he had a one week ban, not a few days. Sorry you feel that we should permanently ban a regular user.

 

Right sorry it's come to this but after reading Stumpys post what is it going to take mods? Stumpys a good poster and he's going because of Daj.

On Norways thread Dai calls Never a dimwit and tells him to fcuk himself. So my question to the other 3 mods is what action has been taken against Dai for that? Both Swanselona and I told Neveroff to leave it to you 3 to sort him out. Judging by his posts tonight it looks like Fcuk all had been done.

Sorry you 3 mods but I'm not letting this lie, I want to know what you're going to do, enough is enough and reading Stunmpy's post had made my blood boil.

Dilli, it seems stumpy is leaving because of us mods too.

 

No he's not mate. I think it's clear it's because of Dai, I don't see our mods telling anyone to fcuk off and calling anyone dimwits.

I dont post very often but am an avid reader of the forum. I must say that anything Dai has ever posted has never offended me me in the slightest. He has his views and he is entitled to them. Chico is absolutely right here. if you are not happy reading them then use the ignore button. However some of the posts you then read may not be as entertaining. There do seem to be a lot of people on here easily upset by anything adversely said about the swans. Again that is an opinion it doesnt matter dont worry about it. I am totally against banning Dai for any length of time unless he does something outrageous there is absolutely no need you all have the power to control what you read.

Hi Billy could you befriend Dai then, and occupy him, and keep him in his grandiose superior state, and treat him as a royal, so that we mere mortals can get on with debating all things Swansea City! Thanks in advance, there's an ice cream in it for you too, for your troubles................
