Dag&Red 0 Town 2 Marvin 2 att 1500 Dag & Red havent won in six games so i think this will be an easy steal!!
nothing sadly is a steal for shrews but £ 85500 would be nice a week on saturday. i have altered my 0-0 prediction for the daggers game to 2-0 to the shrews, and a similar score at newport
Whatever happens, you'll be wrong. Morgan's suspended so he won't score, unless we've got a new Marvin in today! Daggers may not have won for a while but then Wimbledon had conceded something like 12 in 3 games - till they came to us! Good and bad runs always end so they're best ignored. I'm optimistic, although our squad's getting stretched by injuries and suspensions. We need an away win very soon though, if we're to be serious contenders.
shrewd i think we need an away win tomorrow otherwise we shall lose touch with the playoffs let alone a promo spot. with the squad we have on paper, we should be walking this league to quote a more lowly club. floreat salopia coys aab, ctrab
Atcham, I do not agree that we have a squad that should be walking this league - our squad has been slimmed down too much and we still need a couple of marquee signings if we are really serious about winning this league - if the chairman cannot trust Turner to spend the money wisely then who can he trust?
Matster, We are short of bodies in midfield and need a holding midfielder who can break up the play from the opposition and another midfielder who can run past the forwards - yes it would be hard on Wroe and Mcallister but they are not quite top drawer in this division for me. I would also bring in a more commanding goalkeeper (someone like Steve Phillips) and we need more cover for the defence with Cansdell-Sheriff being the one most at risk of being dropped.
i thought we had 2 reasonable goal keepers.wallace is a 25 minute unknown midfielder, i cannot see rowland spending much more, he has a business to run, but i agree we need another midfielder if wallace is temporary and cannot stay on the pitch for half an hour., but should he have been sent off
From where we were sitting it was a harsh sending off but would like to look at it again. It was a game of very strange and frustrating referreeing decissions. The ref had to be escorced off the pitch at half time by a few stewards because of it. This was the same ref that missed to book Marc Richards when he kicked Luke Daniels in the face a couple of seasons ago.
Drop Sherriff? He's had a dip recently (though was man of the match yesterday for Steve Cross & the FL Paper) but has been one of our best players overall this season. No, that's too many changes and risks too much disruption. We're a point off automatic promotion having played a lot of tough away games. If we can have a solid Nov/Dec, we'll be in great shape for a strong run in. Even if we're not top 3 by New Year, we'll have 13 of our last 23 games at home. We may need one or two new faces (like Wallace) along the way but this squad is definitely good enough.
As he only signed a one year contract with Everton then I think there might be some dealings on the table with him.
Shrewdchemic, I hope you are proved right and I am wrong but I just get a feeling this league has greater strength in depth than last year. Southend and Crawley look very strong and I think Oxford are potentially even better so it may not be good enough for us just to make a slight improvement on where we were last year - we need a quantum leap with an injection of real quality to ensure promotion.
