Reading this morning, danny Murphy may return to the cottage in a coaching capacity, ? Views on the subject : : undecided, believe he was offered something similar, before swanning off to his 2yr 35k per week contract.
Danny âs departure was perhaps not the best move by Club and player. And his time at Blackburn has been mixed to say the least, on and off the field. If he returns, I canât see him having a first team coaching role - heâs still too close to current players and/or they are of an age where heâs not going to change their style. It was previously suggested that he could play a role within the Academy set-up, but at whose expense now that we have experienced and settled coaches already in place? I think most are agreed that weâve missed his captaincy but Iâm not convinced this is the right time for him to âcome back homeâ please log in to view this image PS The papers also say he might be given some sort of promotional job. Maybe heâll take over from Diddy David on match day?
In his press conference today, Jol dismissed the rumours linking Danny Murphy with a return 'home'. He said, “I don’t see that happening; we haven’t spoken about it or thought about it,” said Jol. “He’s at Blackburn, maybe he will be a coach there. He would need to get his licence. In England, 10 years ago you could get your licence in the supermarket with your bacon and beans. But now you have to do your courses.”
Unbelievable Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21843906 Wonder where that leaves the Murphies, except wishing they had never gone!
The Blackburn trainwreck is imploding faster and faster. Danny would be well advised to use this time on getting his coaching badges all in order, ready to move on when a coaching/management role comes his way.
