We are very concerned that we haven't heard from Cyc since Dec 30th. Cyc has been a regular poster for 10 years, with several memorable articles written in his own inimitable style. He kept us well informed on overseas racing and was looking forward to the America's Cup, keeping us informed of the activities leading to the finals. It is the absence of updates on this latter thread which is giving cause for the concern. Cyc was not just a poster but also a friend and he would not have left the forum without a goodbye If anyone has any information on his whereabouts and/or well being, please let us know Thank you
Very much a friend of mine too. We used to talk a lot about the Queensland coastline where he lived, north of the city of Caloundra where the best friend and colleague I ever had in my working career used to live in retirement. Cyclonic and his Wife used to drive down regularly to Caloundra for shopping visits, etc. Apart from his prodigious contributions to this part of the not606 forum, especially 'Other Sport', he would now and again try to reason with the somewhat bigoted views given on that 'other' thread (thankfully very few) with sound logic and common sense. The posters he tried to reason with rarely answered him, they mostly had no answer to his always sound logic. Again, I fervently hope everything is OK with Cyclonic and his family down under. As Redcgull just said, "A top top bloke."
I really hope all is well with Cyc. Top top bloke. Always the voice of reason and i love his passion for the likes of Boxing and Sumo aswell as his always valuable input to the racing.
