As you might know, CYC is run by Millwall fans, what club can say that their sponsors are fans of the club? This season will be their last and we'll start season 2011/12 with a new one (club not yet said anything). The following was taken from Vital Millwall... I as you can appreciate cant go into to much detail about sponsorship, and im limited to what i can say at the moment, but what i can tell you is that this is not a financial decision on behalf of CYC. We have just enjoyed our best year ever and are flying at the moment, things could not be better. There are plans to make a formal announcement soon on our website soon www.cycplc.com , i have no idea who the new sponsor is and that is gospel. We will continue to help the club out if they want us to and continue to support the people and charities associated with our club that we already do, and for those that are thinking about nicking our latvian pole dancing box im sorry we are keeping it. We have had a great 3 years and have been proud and humbled to have the opportunity to sponsor our great club. We have met some great people and made so many great friends. proper LLGs One of the best memories for us is a non football one , having the opportunity to help little cameron who lost his leg to illness and is having the other removed this month puts everything in perspective. We love you all-- there will be a formal announcement soon. Tony and Nick Top Blokes.
Showoff, I got wind of a possible end of sponsorship purely by chance when I casually said to a CYC courier the other day oh look its my club's sponsor when dealing with him as I deal with many other couriers at work. The guy said that it could be coming to an end as we apparently wanted ã1M as it used to be ã100,000 so I thought ok watch this space.
Its a shame to lose a club sponser who also happen to be fans, but i guess its the price of success!!! the deal was signed when we were league1 and that was probably the going rate back then, fast forward 3 years and we ave had 2 wembley visits and a top10 champ finish, pretty good legacy for CYC to have been a part of!!!!!!! Hope they remain a part of the club in some way. They annoying thing in a way is that we now will probably get a faceless sponser who dont give a **** about the club, just exposure for their "brand" on the tv, and at the first wiff of trouble will try and pull the deal. Like I say, that the price of success i guess
Exactly rocky as I don't know if the ã1M price was a final take it or leave it offer from us to CYC but like you say the price of success 3 years on. It would be nice if after being sponsored by real fans at CYC if we could also find some other real recognized fans going forward.
Off thread. Just been texted this from a Wall mate so enjoy. Osama Bin Laden has just broadcast a public message on Al Jazeera TV to prove he is still alive. He says "West Ham were **** on Saturday". However, intelligence sources have dismissed it saying he could have recorded it anytime in the last 5 years.

No need to weigh Osama down with bricks or rocks just burying him with a Wet Sham shirt on will guarantee him sinking to the bottom.
