Nice insightful piece by 'on the ball', Pat Nevin about how dreadful players are at taking corners these days: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29634200 At Craven Cottage we, of course, have the three limiting features; - no space for a run-up - a slope - artifical grass However, as I've said many, many times before, why on earth do our players never have a training session at the Cottage to practice taking corners. We could at least try and have an advantage over the opposition.
Could not agree more cottager, corners taken properly used to ,and still could be a significant factor in the outcome of many games.
