We are walking into oblivion under this manager. His tactical ability has been seriously questioned before now, but today was the last straw.

If Tan and his advisors can't see what is happening on the playing side of things rather than just concentrating on the financial aspects of the club, we are doomed to a last half season struggle - in fact we're already in it.

Probably a good job that Wigan lost again at home, but their victors Huddersfield are now level with us on points. If we lose against Derby next week, we could be staring at bottom 6 territory for us.

Get Slade (and Young) out of this club and bring in someone with enough time to turn this tide of **** we're being subjected to.
 
I agree but I think Tan has lost interest and is doing this on purpose.
 
I won't renew to watch this ****. Lumping the ball forward.
I've never seen any team at any level want the ball less.

I'm gutted I paid to watch Slades **** today. I'm obviously committed to my current ST but I won't pay to watch what Slade calls football.

Didn't go today - not ashamed of that, to be honest I was expecting this result.

I'd be prepared to pay to watch City lose if we were just beaten by better sides. That's not the case at the moment - I'm afraid we've been beaten all too often before the first whistle with the totally inept way this club is being run.

It's an interesting point suggesting Tan is doing this on purpose, but that could be deemed as being a bit of supporter paranoia. I can't for the life of me see why Tan would want us to drop into the third tier.
 
I'll support us trying to play football however it works out. I support Cardiff I'm well used to losing football matches.
Slade has no passion for the sport I love. If football was the sport Slade is trying to make it I'd do something else with my time. At least I'll get to appreciate the football the other side gets to play with 60%+ possession for the remainder of the season.

Derby will destroy us if we take as little care of the ball next weekend.
 
We have zero chance of getting anybody with any real reputation. The only people who would come here now our desperate's who either want a crack at a higher league or can't get a job anywhere else. You know that Tan will not be offering any real salary to entice anybody else.

I think Tan remembers that when Malky started he had no players, and he built a squad from scratch. Perhaps he thinks Slade can cut the squad down to a handful and then a new manager will be able to rebuild as he pleases. Optimistic, I know. The only other explanation is that Tan has decided to screw the club over and say goodbye to his money.
 
Tan did his best to destroy the club as an historic entity off the pitch through his lack of knowledge, but at least he did it through ignorance. Slade is destroying the club in his own way on the pitch, but he's the one who's supposed to know what he's doing.

You can argue the case against Tan and with some justification, however there can be no quarter given to Slade.

For all Slade's media plausibility (the opposite to Tan's awkward persona when interviewed), he's come in and taken apart at the seams what was an admittedly disjointed set of players instead of bringing them together. He's created a lifeless, clueless and obviously dispirited bunch totally lacking in any sort of confidence individually and particularly as a team.

The way he kept banging on about having far too many (something like 38) on the books to choose from would have been seen as manna from Heaven for many a more able manager. He ostracised so many of that squad in favour of a chosen 20 or so that it left us devoid of options in both players and systems. Gone are the players who can change games in favour of journeymen playing for a journeyman manager - and still he can't get it sorted.

I expressed my doubts about him from the start on here like many others but felt he should be given the chance. Now I'm convinced if I wasn't before that the sooner he goes and a fresh start made the better. The point is just who'd fit the bill and would they want to come here?

Not one rational argument can be put forward for his retention.

His excuse that it is not his team won't wash - look at Pardew, Pulis, Rowett and Neil Lennon eg.

His excuses for lame performances week in week out are just pathetic.

The players are drained of confidence. They are sleep walking through the matches and are like headless chickens caught in the headlights. (ok mixing metaphors but you get my drift)

I've had a total gutsful of this season, and just cannot wait for the final game to end and just hope City can grind out enough points (20 odd to survive?)

The transfer window shuts on the weekend. Sade has said judge me after the window - well I can judge him already on the basis of the quality of signings so far. As Steve Tucker described them today "meat and potatoes players". That is spot on. City need better players than these.

What the heck is Tan thinking of? Does he really think Slade and his tactics, motivational skills and coaching abilities with this moribund bunch of players are good enough?

I know it sounds perverse but losing on Saturday with Tan present may be a blessing in disguise. I would hate it for City to lose but I just cannot see anything other than a defeat (or at best a streaky draw) and then surely Tan would have to fire him. Only problem would be then that the new guy would have to work with the inherited squad and any stragglers he could pick up on loan thereafter.

Desperate times. How on earth has it come to this?

Clubs can bounce back. Norwich and to a greater extent Southampton went down to League 1 in successive seasons and in 2 years were back in the Premier League. Bournemouth 5 years ago were 91st in the Football League. So it can be done but that is one heck of a lot of pain to endure before any prospect of pleasure. City just don't have the football infrastructure to replicate those clubs achievements. There is no football personel there overseeing the whole purpose of the business ie the football side.

So City not only need a new manager and better coaches and football organisation but a root and branch change in the boardroom, and management structure. Let's see people who have the experience sorting out the football side on and of the pitch.
