Whenever i watch the boys, Mata does a grand job running the show in the midfeild, side to side, back and forward. He is class.... we dont need a money hungry mercenary in Modric thanks.
Our midfield is fine, Mikel is a brilliant player but I don't think he suits the fast flowing football we're trying to play so he is maybe the weak link in terms of midfielders. We need a striker first and foremost, someone who can change a game as Torres, is ****ing dog ****e.
Isn't Modric currently being picked over Ozil because of his good form? We should've got him this summer, kind of player we needed, instead of signing so many attacking midfielders with nobody being able to play it from deep.
Brilliantly put "Someone able to play it from deep." I am reduced to calling that a "controlling midfielder" but you put it better. Imagine our front runners, Mata, Oscar,Ramires etc with someone like that behind them ??????? maybe even Torres would score ?????? On second thoughts...........
