Club Statement - Curtis Woodhouse Grimsby Town Football Club wish to curtail any speculation regarding the appointment of Curtis Woodhouse purported by Matt Dean of Radio Humberside. Matt's inappropriate speculation that Curtis was joining the club as First Team Coach is wide of the mark. At the request of Curtis, he was welcomed to Cheapside to witness a First Team training session to gain an insight and experience to help progress his own career. If Radio Humberside had taken the time to properly research and report on this, they would have realised that this speculation is unfounded and undermines the current management staff at the club.
RH wide off the mark again, how many times is this now ? Viking 2 might have another club to cover next season at this rate.
Bizarre, though the GY statement does sound a bit of a get out for both sides, that maybe terms couldn't be agreed. I saw a tweet from Curtis Woodhouse yesterday, which appears to have been now deleted, say something along the lines "Now that is a telephone call!" which implied that he had received an offer. But maybe it is ambiguous enough to mean something else.
It does seem strange. Dean has always come across as one of the better journos. A club to keep an eye on.

Curtis Woodhouse – More Inaccurate Reporting This is another statement without any foundation whatsoever and was made in an effort to cover yesterday’s inaccurate report about Curtis Woodhouse. To further bring GTFC boardroom into this latest tweet without any evidence is journalism at its lowest level and another attempt to undermine the club. If Matt Dean had spoken to Russell Slade he would have been appraised with the correct facts about the former player’s attendance at the training ground.
