This lad has had his work permit and looks like he will be coming in for about 400k. Don't think any of us will have seen him play but I'm sure we all trust G Carr. I've heard his compared to Jaap Stam<ok> lets hope this is true!!!

I'm just wondering if the club is deciding that if Colo or Saylor goes down we will rely on what we've got to cover. Williamson, Perch, Good, Tavernier. I would obviously still prefer a more experienced CB as well, but the way we are dealing with transfers it looks as though we are prepared to not pay over the odds (which is a good thing) but I can see us losing out on a few of our targets this way. Hopefully someone like Douglas still comes in.

Carr hasn't let us down so far. I think we all trust in his judgement.

Why pay over the top for a name player when we can get somebody to do a good job for us at a fraction of the price.

While I agree with what you're saying I just worry that with our current transfer policy we may struggle to ever crack say the top 4. Last year we were close, I just think if we could go out there sign a few of the names we've been linked with (Debuchy, Douglas, etc) obviously for reasonable prices. It would show a real sign of intent that we want to really mix it with the big boys.

I love Graham Carr and think he is an absolute genius when it comes to spotting talent however I don't want us to end up like Arsenal the past few years. Everyone has know they have got a canny squad and only needed maybe a couple of really class players to enable them to challenge again, however Wenger's ego seems to have prevented this. I'm sure we'll be fine but that's my only worry.

We were in the Championship not too long ago - Now we're just coming off finishing 5th. I'd give it a bit more time before you start worrying about our transfer policy.

You would have to be some sort of madman to not have nearly total trust in our transfer policy at present, we are talking almost flawless business.

When mistakes are made then ill be questioning things, very happy bunny for now. The name Curtis Good rings a bell tho, have we been linked in the past? Im definitely excited about all the youngsters we are bringing in, who doesnt love grooming a developing young youngster? <runawaysmileywontload>
